The AMT P800W trumpet microphone is a special wireless version of the AMT P800. The microphone element remains the same, acheiving the same high level of quality that the P800 does, however this version is specially adapted to work with Shure ULXS14 and the ULXP14 Wireless Units (sold separately). When combined, it is meant to be used by the trumpeter that requires a mult-channel professional level wireless system. This application is a commonly preferred method used by many professional level sound engineers as well as sound companies on major tours.
The AMT P800W Trumpet mic can handle the highest SPL levels that a trumpet can reproduce. The element, somewhere in size between a small and large diaphragm is handmade by AMT and larger than AMT's standard-size elements. It can withstand the sonic force of the loudest of trumpet players and still provide exceptional audio quality.
Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.
