Comments about Apogee Symphony I/O 8x8 Audio Interface with 8 Mic Preamps:

First off I am not one to beleive a converter could ever have a impact on the mix as a whole...God was I wrong. Anything that goes through this beautiful piece of machine comes out with a certain "apogee sonic cream " on top. Ok. So what the heck does that mean??? Vocals will sparkle in the midrange and highs become natural ... Stereo image of track placement is so 3D and spacious that you can pick out anything anywhere in the mix. No more fighting with Pesty overtones. Your mixes literally shine a new life you've never been able to acheive... It's that much of a difference. Now to be fair I upgraded from A 003, but I will put my right kidney on the line that any experienced engineer would hear the sonic texture symphony gives off... I use to absolutely hate the brightness of the AKG c414. Now she sits so natural and beautiful on any source including vocals ... That midrange bump has been converted by Apogee into something amazing. And that's just the beginning. I literally can't get a bad sound out of my Symphony... Now on to the presmps. The pres are gorgeous.. So clean and detailed and with a staggering 85 db (I'm pretty sure 85) any source is sure to get its full natural representation from the get go. I seriously stack these up with my Avalon vt-737. Super clean. Super awesome. Super hi gain With so many other features like soft limit and 8 dedicated inserts for tracking with eq or compression she can make the most out of any signal that passes through her.. I kid you not. This thing will be relevant In ten years and still a contender in the interface world... I agree you pay a pretty penny to play. But and this is a huge but... At this level you should be conducting serious business or at least panning to do so. 4500 plus tax and dsub cables isn't cheap. But I swear once you hear that huge bottom end and sweet top end that symphony puts on your tracked mix you won't regret this purchase !!!
