Warranty
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY
On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages. Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website. The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands: Mackie: A 3-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on electronics and a 2-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on drivers (where applicable) apply to loudspeakers (active and passive), power amps, powered mixers, and HR studio monitors. Specific models under this warranty include all SRM, HD, SA, C and S Series Speakers, all FRS Amplifiers, all HRmk2 Studio Monitors. A 1-year, all inclusive, nontransferable warranty applies to all mixers, MR Studio Monitors, Control Surfaces, Processors (digital), MR Studio Monitors, Control Surfaces, Audio/MIDI Interfaces, other SR & Recording Products. Specific product models under this warranty include all Onyx Compact, 4-bus and 8-bus, all VLZ3, all PPM, all ProFX, all CFXmk2 Mixers, all MR Studio Monitors, Big Knob, Onyx 800R, all MCU Pro family. This is the best 4x10 on the market. Its a little bigger than most but that is because of the 3 ports that alow this monster to push out the low lows. It is the essence of full range. It goes as low as a 15incher and hits the highs with clarity and sizzle. I've owned it for 9 months at the time of this review and have used it in various gigs and I'm still impressed with it. For a bass cab it has all the nessary features. It has two 1/4 inputs and two speakon inputs for connecting to the amp and adding an additional cab. It has a tweeter control knob to boost or cut the tweeter for more controle of your tone. It has wheels for transport and a bar that doubles as a towl rack when not transporting. Its 4ohm so it sucks a higher output of watts from your amp. It not only sounds great but it looks great as well. Its quite heavy at 110lbs. It has two big wheels and a bar in the back that helps with transport. I can lift it myself but if you're a little week in the knees and back you better have someone around to help you get it in and out of your vehical. All and all this is a great cab. I have owned the top of the line cabs from SWR and Eden and I've settled down with this beast becasue its the best. If anything were to happen to it I'd replace it with the same thing.

Within the first month of used, the cabinet was excellent. Then I noticed that the vinil cover around the edges of the cabinet started to come off. About three months later during performance, the cabinet stopped working. Luckly was during the last set. I thought the problem was with my amp head, a Peavey 700 watts (fire bass amp), I sent the head to the shop for repair. The technician called me back and indicated there was nothing wrong with the head. Then I sent the cabinet to a technician covered by the warranty and the cabinet was repaired. The techincian also glue the vinil cover. Right now the vinil cover started to come off unglue again around the edges. I love the cabinet but I'm wondering what is going to go wrong next. I whish I could ge a new one and turn this one to the manufacturer. I think this is a lemon cabinet. thank you, raul

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

I have played through all combinations of the 15's, 12's, 18's, and this is THE ONE that does it all! I use a GK head and always play with the 5/string voice setting active. The depth and clarity are unmatched.

GREAT AMP

By EZ

from Marlboro

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

This Cabinet is possibly one of the loudest things i've ever heard for its size. Its great, because its sound quality is astonishing. The bass, mids, and treble are all produced very nicely, and the tone is great. This cab is a bit heavy, but thats why it has a sturdy base. It doesn't slide around when your on stage leaning on it and such. I love this cabinet, and i play live with it all the time. Whether it be rock, pop, or a little country, this cabinet really rocks!!!. It has great tone i repeat. My friends use these amp cabs all the time, and i really think its great. Its more on the semi-profesional and intermediate level. Professionals could find use in this cab also, cause its just that good for its price. I really recommend it to anybody who needs a good cab. I really like it a lot.

SVT is THE bass cab

By Rory

from Boston, MA

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

It is no accident that there are so many posts favoring the SVT-HLF. All of the descriptions given: "clear, clean, deep ,full-range, punch..." are spot on. I bought this cab, took it right to the gig and powered it with my Little MarkIII. My G&L NEVER sounded so FAT. Go buy this bass cab. You won't be sorry! The only slight draw-back has nothing to do with the sound. It is about the "towel rack": Suggestion to product development: Make the handles adjustable, just like the click-and-lock PA stands. Then we won't have to look like wing-men on a bob-sled team when we move it. 8>)

SVT Thunder

By Kevin Glenn

from Palatine, IL

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

The 410hlf from Ampeg is just amazing. If you play a 5 string or play a 4 string in drop-tuning, the 410hlf's added low end is truly awesome. The tweeter on this cab sounds pleasant and is easliy controlled with a dial on the back. For those who don't like tweeters, the tweeter can be turned off. I compared this cab to the 810e: the 410hlf had better lows, nearly as thick low mids, clearer mids, better upper mid presence, and more clarity. The 410hlf gets plenty loud for any band/performance situation. I always felt the Ampeg 810e was limiting to my Spector 5 string, but when I tried the 410hlf - Pure Heaven. The 810e is not a bad cab by any means, in fact, the 810e and the 410hlf both employ the same type of speakers - just different enclosures. The 810e is solid, tight, punchy and one heck of a massive tone. The 410hlf is looser, lower sounding, and a more detailed cabinet.

Wow! Now I am hooked !

By Gbluesy

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

I play in the band White Hot & Blue, we were the band at the Grand opening for the Lancaster PA Store. I wanted to get a new bass cabinet and after the 1st sound check, we talked about this Ampeg cabinet. I swapped the cabinets, and did another sound check. I had to turn it down! Yea! Turn it down! It is so efficient and all the tones you can ask for are right there, no fuss. I am now hooked on this sound. I Highly recommend it! Check us out www.whitehotandblue.com

The best 4x10 cabinet so far.

By Super70`s 4 ever

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

After trying a few other brands I wasn`t happy with the way my basses sound so I went from one to another until I`ve bought this cabinet about a month ago,at home sounded very good but I was waiting to play at a gig before writing this review:Made in China, impecable finish outside & inside(I`ve removed the crossover plate in order to peek inside)the speakers are Eminence made in China,so far the BEST speakers made in China that I`ve seen compared to the other brands,it is obvious that Ampeg quality control are tight and high at the factory.OK, for the sound at the gig:I was very pleased to find out ,for the first time, I was able to hear the lows, mids & the highs notes that I was playing and cutting strong through the mix. Also I was a little concern about how it will handle onstage without four casters but it wasn`t that bad at all and it is heavy but I managed to lift it up by myself & put it in the back of a mid size SUV with out to much problem. The only gripe I have is with the cloth front cover instead of some metal grill and that is why I didn`t buy this cabinet before but like I said the sound out of this cabinet is worth it and I`ll just be extra careful with sharp corners while moving it around. It was paired with a Gallien Krueger RB 400 IV head and it blasted all night long with a full, round and very clear sound. To me this is the best 4x10 out there for the money.

Best Ever Heard

By BassMan07

from Denver, CO

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

I have owned this cab since november of 2006, I have a svt-4Pro head that I drive it with. The first time i pluged it in I knew I hit something that was truly amazing! I have played with cabs such as the ampeg svt 810E and with other brands such as Gallian-Krueger and Peavey. None of them have such a balenced sound that this 410HLF produces. This cab demonstrates amazing high, mid, and earth shaking lows. Very versitile. This is the best cab that you can buy for the money and size. Truly amazing as all ampeg products are.

THE bass cabinet

By Steve M.

from metairie,la.

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

holy moly . I've been playing bass for 42 years and have tried just about every kind of rig there is. Finally I found a speaker cabinet that does it all to the extreme. Tight ,solid bass with percussion and no fluff. Mid clarity without that "honky" hollow sound and highs that are actually smooth and pleasing to the ear. The SVT410hlf does all that in perfect balance. Way to go Ampeg !!!

~ PRICELESS SOUND ~

By MW-1

from Rockwall, Texas

Comments about Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic Series Bass Cabinet:

Every once in a great while a product is made that stands out amoung all others, both in price and performance. I can tell you with great certainty the Ampeg 410HLF bass cabs are nothing less than AWESOME! I run an Ampeg SVT4Pro head with two (2) of these cabs...yes two! There are enough hours in the day or days in the week to begin to tell you how powerful this setup is. There are enough pens, ink, or paper to write down how PERFECTLY matched my setup is. The two cabs together will move 20% more air than 4-18" woofers and 50% more air than 6-15" woofers. Any Questions? I didn't think so.
