Warranty
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY
On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages. Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website. The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands: Mackie: A 3-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on electronics and a 2-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on drivers (where applicable) apply to loudspeakers (active and passive), power amps, powered mixers, and HR studio monitors. Comments about Ampeg Portaflex Series PF-115LF 1x15 400W Bass Speaker Cabinet:

Im very sad to see this amp let me down. I only had it for two months. yesterday i took it to practice, turned on my ampeg pf 500 and nothing. no sound or anything. I switched heads, cables, basses and no sound was coming out at all. Yes this amp does sound amazing and gets the job done but beware of random blow outs. I had not even put the volume past 12 o,clock and it still does this. I hope in the future ampeg will keep there consistency and keep there amps durable and well made.

I use this bass cab in my local church. I really have no regrets. I love the sound and low end of this cab.

Comments about Ampeg Portaflex Series PF-115LF 1x15 400W Bass Speaker Cabinet:

First purchased a PF 500 with a 2-10 and thought it to be a little thin in sound. Now that I added this 115 LF to the rig the sound I was looking for is there. Having 2 speaker combination gives lots of versatility and don't need to bust my back packing a 810 around. More surprised on the PF 500 handling at 4 ohms when the 2 speakers are paired. M F also matched a better price and had it sent in 3 days...their the best

Comments about Ampeg Portaflex Series PF-115LF 1x15 400W Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I just got this cabinet (paired with an Ampeg Portaflex PF-350 head). I haven't used it on a gig just yet, but if tonight's rehearsal with the band I'm in is any indication, then I'm going to be in for some good gigs. I've been using Ampeg amps on and off for over 45 years, and I feel I've come full circle with this rig. If you like something that leans "old skool" (a head relatively devoid of "bells & whistles," and a cabinet with a single 15; no horn, no tweeter, ported design versus sealed) then you just might like this. My only issue is that the cabinet is a bit unwieldy, although it won't kill your back, give you a hernia or heart attack, nor is it a TRUE Portaflex; with a "sewing machine" type top that flips over to "reveal" the head. However, it does have two heavy-duty side-mounted/recessed handles, and the cab is pretty much vibration-free, so you can place the head (and even a tuner or a footswitch-type effects device on top) without fear or risk of it being jostled off. The removable casters are fine, as long as you don't abuse them. Most important, it delivers a sublime bottom-end sound, that, unless you're into all forms of Metal, or you plan playing in arenas or stadiums on a regular basis, this amp/cabinet setup will not disappoint. Best of all, it's an Ampeg. ...a standard bearer in bass amps, if ever there was one.
