Ampeg SVT-15E Bass Speaker Cabinet

On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages. Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website. The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands: Mackie: A 3-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on electronics and a 2-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on drivers (where applicable) apply to loudspeakers (active and passive), power amps, powered mixers, and HR studio monitors. • An excellent addition to your rig

As reviewed by Weedrow Ratchet on 5/23/2010

I play an all Ampeg rig. svt3 pro head. svt 4-10 with this underneath. I opted for a two piece cab. setup for ease of movement and made the bottom cab a 15 for the extra low end and great tone it affords. I find it gives me more control then a single 8-10 or 2 4-10s and its lows are real fat yet clean at high volume. For me pairing this with a 4-10 is truly the best of both worlds.

  • BOTTOM END, YES!!!

As reviewed by Universalfe on 5/29/2007

I purchased this cabinet to boost the low-end of my Ampeg 410HLF cabinet. It does that and more. The 410HLF does get low and is perfect for practicing and recording, because the sound levels never need to get really loud. But when performing, I needed a bit more low frequency punch. The SVT 15E does that quite well. I'm running both cabinets with a Hartke A4000. My sound could not be fuller. I was close to buying a used 810 Classic cabinet to use for performing, but the combination of the 410HLF and the SVT 15E give me everything that I expected from the 810 Classic, only with much more versatility and for less money.

  • Punchy little Cab

As reviewed by SAM on 5/21/2007

I was really skeptical for a long time of any cab that did not have 10 in speakers but i have to say this is a very balanced very good sounding cabinet. It has clearly defined highs and booming heavy but not messy lows like a lot of 115's i've played on in the past. I am not jumping to judgments but this cab may allow me to sell my 410 hlf and save my back some agony.
