On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages.
Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website.
The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands:

I have owned this amp for about 3 months and all I can say is darn what power! It's very compact and light for 500 watts and weighs about 11 pounds. This amp was inspired by the iconic Ampeg B-15 of yesteryear. It has awesome tone which can be changed by a 5 postion frequency knob. It can also be changed by the standard bass, midrange and treble knobs. It has an ultra hi button which gives those tight crisp clean sounds and an ultra lo button which gives those deep, deep bottom ends especially when using a 5-string bass like I do. I have this amp paired with the Ampeg 610HLF which is a 600 watt rms cab and a 500 watt head so plenty of headroom. I would highly recommend this amp to anyone who is looking for that classic ampeg tone of the 60's or 70's as well as an excellent tone sounding amp for any music genre.

Ampeg Power And Quality Is A Must For Any Serious Bassist
I picked up this little jewel new from Guitar Center in Greenville, SC and have been really pleased with my purchase so far. The guys at GC have been really helpful to me and some of them even remember my name when I walk through the door and that really makes me comfortable when I'm doing my shopping. I'm currently running this amp through (2) Hartke VX1508 series cabinets and it literally makes my entire house thump. I really dig the cosmetics of this amp especially with the blue LED light that signifies being online. It's unfortunate that someone else bought this model amp that was defective because mine has given me zero issues whatsoever and I would recommend to you and your mother.
I have not played this amp out in a live band yet, but I have practiced a couple of times with it and I feel that I have to really crank it up to get much volume out of it. We'll see once I take it to a practice or play a live show, I have a hard time really gauging how anything performs until I use it in a live band situation. That being said, I like the other features that come with the head, I feel I can get about any tone out of the head I want. The midrange shift and the addition of the ultra high & ultra low buttons help accomplish getting about any tone I want. I like the mute and tuner out, the fact it has a ground lift and the post/pre eq options on the back for the direct out. It was a hard pick between calling this a 3 and 4 star review. One note, like I said, I had to crank this thing up to really get volume out of it, but it didn't seem to distort the sound doing that, maybe that's the class D electronics at work, I don't know.
