25he Mega Tri 64 Profile from American DJ is a tri-colored, low profile, slim PAR lighting effect from the Mega Series line of lighting effects, and is uniquely designed to keep cables away from the back of the unit so that it can sit flush on the floor. The power & DMX ins and outs are mounted on the side of the fixture, not on the rear, allowing it to sit directly on the ground or inside truss without the scissor yoke.
Mega Tri 64 Profile is an ideal unit for uplighting and stage lighting, and will bring color and excitement to any party. There are 12 x 3-Watt, 3-N-1 TRI LEDs which offers smooth RGB Color Mixing, has a 25-degree beam angle, 5 operational modes (including DMX, Sound Active and Master/Slave), and has 7 DMX Channel modes for a variety of programming options.

I had to light a larger stage than usual, and with only last-minute notice, I was running around to find enough instruments to do the job right. I decided to grab 20 of these for low-hung side-fill washes. This lighting instrument breaks the LED paradigm. Tri-color LEDs let me do incredibly smooth color mixing, and for the first time, I've been able to get acceptable ambers out of an RGB system! This instrument packs the punch of a full blown PAR without pouring all of that heat onto you (something every performer can appreciate!!) I was wary of the price tag on this puppy (was very tempted to buy a few PARs and slap some color media in them and call it a day,) but I'm glad I went the LED way. Frankly, for the price, this unit is awesome. $250 is not much to spend on a high quality LED instrument, so we'll see how it holds up over time. User interface is pretty poor, but anybody buying instruments in this price range should be comfortable using DMX controllers, so once you've addressed it, you shouldn't need to touch it ever again. A side note, and the one con: This unit is FAN COOLED, and therefore does not operate silently. Theatrical LD's be warned: You should not hang these instruments over the house; they will distract. No big deal for onstage use or high decibel events. Another side note: This instrument also buzzes very slightly at full intensity (RGB @100%). This is no big deal for high-decibel events, or even theatrical use, but you should probably avoid using these instruments in sound-critical spaces such as film studios. Overall: fantastic instrument, great price. You can't go wrong
