This Lighting system works like a Top

Comments about American DJ FC-56 Foot-Controlled Light System:

I have been trying to find a lighting system where I can play bass and operate the lights. Well I went through 3 different lightings systems before I stumbled upon this. It may be a tad more expensive than others, but this system rocks, and is worth the money you pay for it. The possibility to add on and run other sytems is a BIG PLUS. This system is rock solid, the parts are well made and durable. I recomend this to anyone who like great quality items!

DJ FC-56 system

Comments about American DJ FC-56 Foot-Controlled Light System:

I purchased this system about 6 months ago and it works fairly well, once you get it set up and figure out the foot controller and dimmer pack. The instructions for programming the footcontroller are not very clear, and I found it easier to program by experimenting with it. The fade rate when the lights are in "chase" mode has to be at 100% (no fade) or the fade will cause the lights to just pulse at a very low setting. I find the fade adjustment useless AND it caused a lot of headaches when setting the system up.The dimmer pack came without any instructions, and I had to try different DIP switch settings before the lights would come on at all. The DIP switch apparently sets the channel that the dimmer pack works on, and I couldn't find any information on how to set this. The stand is an excellent stand, very heavy duty unlike the flimsy stands that come with super low price systems. It has additional braces for support that are a hassle to deal with if you disassemble the stand to break down after I gig, and the lights simply mount via primative wing nuts.Overall, the system works well enough for my needs and I intend to add a second light tree so I can have lights on both sides of the stage. I haven't worked with professional grade lighting, but I think this system is OK for the money. I think its rather expensive for what you get, but I haven't seen any alternatives.
