i bought one of these fog machines in 2007 at GC in Fairveiw Hts ,Il. it is now 2014 and it finally died just this past month. i guess every one can get a lemon now and then how ever im replacing it withthe same in hopes it lasts as long as the first i will be happy. the main issue to fog machines is buy a decent one from the start and keep them clean with either the cleaner one can buy or by using distilled drinking water at least once a month.
This fog machine worked perfect for about 6 months, with sparingly gigs about 4 times a month. Then it started leaking like most others I read about. It got to the point that at every gig I did, as it was warming up. It would spit juice out onto the floor. This happened using the more expensive "good" fog liquid they recommend. Which is very slippery on most surfaces. My advice is, be careful with it. And warranty it! I also have a friend who tried running 3 of these at a bowling alley, and they all quit, or clogged up after just a few months of heavy use. I've yet to read good reviews about any fog machine yet...So choose wisely people.
Died after 5 months of use. Heater stopped and fog pump stopped. Used only once a week for DJin. Don't waste your money.
I bought one of these and used it one time. Worked great. Then I turned it off and unplugged it. A couple of days later I come back to it only to find about 1/4 of the tank had leaked on the floor. I took it back and got another one and after two uses it leaked as well. I took it back for a second time and the guy at the Guitar Center told me all fog machines leak. Well a little leakage at the front of the machine wouldn't be a problem but this machine was leaking puddles both times. Manual doesn't say anything about it and neither did the support guy at ADJ. Perhaps I just got a couple of lemons but if you buy one of these put something underneath just in case. Especially if you're going to hang it above a dance floor.
I purchased it prior to reading any reveiws. I was at the store buying something else, and saw this. It looked really heavy duty, and figured it should do the job. Read thru the manuals Do's & Dont's, and was pretty hyped up to use it. Was short on time for a DJ gig, so I just packed it & set it up at the party. I let it sit on for about 5 min. gave it a quick test push, and the fog dispursed. So now, I'm like cool it works. I was waiting for the dance floor to fill so that I can hit'em with the fog, and when it came time...Nada! The lights were all on for the machine and remote, but nothing would come out. I finally unplugged it. Next morning I plugged it in, let it sit for 10min, then gave it a go...Nada! In the process of taking it back. I read some other reveiws on other sites, and they all had the same dilemna. No Good. Will have to try a Chauvet, to see if they are more reliable.
I work in Fire Alarm sytems, and with the ever increasing requirements for testing, we used this little portable to "smoke" the A/C duct detectors. It worked great!. IT did the job quickly, left no residue on the detectors, andthe smoke dissipated quickly, allowing for more testing quicker than with smoke bombs. For the price of this machine, we were all very impressed.
I recently bought this fogger and used it that same nite. I DJ as a mid-size venue and it smoked the whole room out, did not let me down. I like the manuel switch and sence it's 10' long it made it alot easier to have it closer to the dance floor from my DJ both. I'm now thinking of buying a 2nd one for my larger parties that i do. And with the "Black Label" fog juice, the thicker fog, it made all my lights pop out and it works like a dream with the lazers. A MUST BUY PRODUCT.
Well, I recently bought the American DJ Dyno-Fogg II Fog Machine, and I have to say, it is awesome! I have most of my lighting in my room right now, and I was testing it out, I held the button down for 20-30 seconds, and my whole room was filled up, and barely visible within a minute or two. I was surprised that it worked as well as it did. The lighting I had looked great with the fog. I would recommend this Fog Machine to anyone, for small or big parties, this does the job!
