This is an amazing light. I am a mobile dj, but I also host club events at a local venue with a 600 capacity warehouse. In either of these situations the light works like a charm. they are encredibly silent making them great for weddings and smaller events, but the light output is intense. These are bright. I can not stress this enough, any worries you have about the led technology are wrong. LED is most definitely the way to go, beautiful color, no maintenance, no heat, no noise, and incredible brightness. The colors and effects are great. The movements are incredibly fast and smooth thanks to the low weight. oh and speaking of weight these only weight 20 lbs! you can hang them yourself and they are easy to transport. I could honestly go on forever, but in short these are my favorite lights and they are perfect for everything from mobile djing to concert venues. my only advice is that you get a dmx controller to get the most out of them. try chamsys magic q software (it's free)
I was worried about dumping serious money in American DJ moving head, you know the 500+ dollar range. Worried about dependability, ease of use, durable, and does its job. I have 6 Martin high end scanners which I paid big money for years ago and have never had one issue with. But after spending hours watching youtube videos, reading reviews, and talking to light tech Allan at the Tri County Cincinnati store said that the American DJ Visi LED Spot is the best money for the job. Chauvet has the small 150 led that has a not so bright light, and didn't need to go to that bright of a light to spend a grand or more. I guess what I am trying to say is that these things are absolutely incredible. Lightweight, compact size, and low cost. I bought two, and am going to get two more. Highly recommend a DMX Controller. I have the Elation Emulation computer software and it is great. Weather you need two to accent what you have or 4 for a band it is money well spent and end result will be an awesome Rock show. I would also recommend the Chauvet Hurricane Haze 2. This will not cause issues with the detectors, and gives a nice even haze without the cloud from a fog machine. The hazer will really make these lights pop. Good luck to you and you will be glad that you got these lights.
