  Wasn't real sure how I would like the effect at first. I actually bought a pair. I must say, I was not at all dissappointed with the purchase. I get a lot of compliments when I used them in the club. They are small and lightweight and give a create laser effect, especially for the price. I would definately recommend one to anyone. Not necessary to buy a pair either., Works great with just one.

• Achieve "Liquid Sky" effect!

  I recently purchased the GALAXIAN SKY DMX Laser and was surprised when I was unable to "see" the "liquid sky" effect after having run through the 18 pre-programmed "shows" as noted in the User Instruction Manual. I wound-up calling the American DJ Customer Service number noted on their Home page, and spoke to a gentleman who was courteous and knowledgeable as to the GALAXIAN SKY DMX Laser. He assured me that the "Sky" laser does provide the "liquid sky" effect and he explained that in order to "see" this very cool effect you must have FOG in the room. Thankfully I have a mini-fogger and the next evening I fired the fogger up for a few moments and then got to the Sky Laser. WOW! It was immediately obvious that the Sky Laser was everything I had expected. This is a truly awesome effect! As the fog dissipates however, the "liquid sky" effect goes away leaving only an electric green beam that splays around the room. This too is a cool effect but not what I was hoping for when I purchased this laser. All-in-all I am very happy with my decision to purchase this laser and recommend it to anyone who is seeking an ambient alternative to a straight-up laser. I also have the GALAXIAN 3-D DMX laser and although both lasers are uniquely cool, I find that you cannot use the two respective devices simultaneously and still retain the "liquid sky" effect (i.e., the "3-D" laser is too bright and overpowers the "Sky" laser). So, you simply have to pick your spot and use one or the other - not both at once - in order to achieve a very satisfying blanket of light.

  I purchased this product a couple weeks back and tested it out by its self with a fog machine. I was amazed at the performance, effects, and patterns. Pretty much every thing about this product is amazing except for one thing which is why i gave it 3 stars. The laser beam is to dim, it looks completely fine by it self untill i used it with the "ADJ fusion fx bar 2." the fx bar over powered the laser causing the beams to be barely seen. now, im not sure if thats just how the laser is or if something happened to it while it was being shipped to my house, I'm not sure. but what i have noticed is that on this site, it says that the laser is 10mW yet when i looked at the user instructions manual, it said that the galaxian is only "4.9mW." i have a $50 venue laser that is 4.9mW and it over powers my galaxian as well. So to me, that was very questionable. I think the galaxian is a good laser, but if your thinking of purchasing one. Beware of how bright or dim the beam might be.
