American Audio VMS4 - Velocity MIDI Station/DJ MIDI Controller
A. American Audio® hereby warrants, to the original purchaser, American Audio® products to be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 Year (365 days) from the date of purchase. This warranty shall be valid only if the product is purchased within the United States of America, including possessions and territories. It is the owner's responsibility to establish the date and place of purchase by acceptable evidence, at the time service is sought.
Products identified as a "Blem" or "Refurb" carry a 90-day warranty and are otherwise subject to the terms and conditions stated above.
B. For warranty service, send the product only to the American Audio® factory. All shipping charges must be prepaid. If the requested repairs or service (including parts replacement) are within the terms of this warranty, American Audio® will pay return shipping charges only to a designated point within the United States. If the entire instrument is sent, it must be shipped in its original package. No accessories should be shipped with the product. If any accessories are shipped with the product, American Audio® shall have no liability whatsoever for loss of or damage to any such accessories, nor for the safe return thereof.
C. This warranty is void if the serial number has been altered or removed; if the product is modified in any manner which American Audio® concludes, after inspection, affects the reliability of the product; if the product has been repaired or serviced by anyone other than the American Audio® factory unless prior written authorization was issued to purchaser by American Audio®; if the product is damaged because not properly maintained as set forth in the instruction manual.
D. This is not a service contract, and this warranty does not include maintenance, cleaning or periodic checkup. During the period specified above, American Audio® will replace defective parts at its expense, and will absorb all expenses for warranty service and repair labor by reason of defects in material or workmanship. The sole responsibility of American Audio® under this warranty shall be limited to the repair of the product, or replacement thereof, including parts, at the sole discretion of American Audio®. All products covered by this warranty were manufactured after January 1, 1990, and bear identifying marks to that effect.
E. American Audio® reserves the right to make changes in design and/or improvements upon its products without any obligation to include these changes in any products theretofore manufactured.
F. No warranty, whether expressed or implied, is given or made with respect to any accessory supplied with products described above. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, all implied warranties made by American Audio® in connection with this product, including warranties of merchantability or fitness, are limited in duration to the warranty period set forth above. And no warranties, whether expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness, shall apply to this product after said period has expired. The consumer's and or Dealer's sole remedy shall be such repair or replacement as is expressly provided above; and under no circumstances shall American Audio® be liable for any loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of the use of, or inability to use, this product.
G. This warranty is the only written warranty applicable to American Audio® Products and supersedes all prior warranties and written descriptions of warranty terms and conditions heretofore published.

dude... for starters Virtual DJ is absolutely the worst software on the market. The VMS4 & VDJ have some major mapping issues... Im having major problems with my cues. I cannot cue one deck to preview the song with out playing both at the same time. VERY frustrating. Ive tried all the firmware updates & mapping downloads...& no luck. The vms4 is a great controller.. all the control you need for beginner/intermediate djs. very solid and responsive. Final thought. Save your money and get the Traktor S4!!
And I found even better! Okay, so I was looking into buying a few turntables all the reviews that I read was saying stuff like "very high quality," and "HEAVY duty, it?s the real deal!" and let me tell you, IT IS! Upon opening the box, I immediately new this decision to make this purchase was not going to be regretted and here?s why: Pros: Plug in and play, out of the box! Has a ton of MIDI in/out capabilities. Truly built heavy weight, without weighing that much. There "special" vinyl decks are actually called "special" for a good reason! Scratching was so easy to pick up a 3 y/o can learn. This has different sound setup capabilities, 2 different mike inputs and tons of effects/ sounds (and you can make custom ones) Headphone jack! much much more!!!! Cons: a little complex for newbie?s, but I learned so I guess you can too! Nothing else I can think of, I'd say it?s worth the price completely.
When we first purchased this controller I was pretty pumped about the 4 assignable channels, multiple mic inputs, and the over-all appearance of the controller. When we got it out of the bag it was heavy and felt good for a controller. The casing is completely metal, which brings peace of mind. When we first started using it there were some things I wasn't pleased with regarding the mapping to VDJ (beginners beware... read forums on how to do this) and the over-all sound is definately lacking. There is a lot of ground noise and there is a known problem with the mic inputs. In order to solve the mic problem we just run this controller through an independent Mackie mixer and run our mics through that. Works fine. ADJ actually offers adapters at no charge to resolve the mic problem. We ordered them over a month ago, still haven't arrived. Meh. The sound problem is actually a gain issue. The levels coming off the mixer are just way too low. Obvious answer is turn up the gain, and then you immediately redline... Very frustrating and after checking into it I am not the only person with this problem. Last but not leaast the fader could use some work. It's not really repsonsive enough for advanced scratching, but then again most controllers aren't meant for that anyway. After all this you'd think I'd hate the thing, but I'm actually still a fan. I wouldn't use this for a wedding or anything too formal, but if you're just setting up in a bar it's alright. Once you start cranking the music you can't really hear the ground noise, and it's actually not a bad idea to use an independent mixer anyway. The mixers in this class of controllers aren't typically top of the line, or anywhere near it. The 4 inputs are really a great idea, especially because you can run them as auxillary in any fasion you wish, the platters are very responsive, and the play/cue buttons seem like they'll have a good shelf life. The layout of the mixer is very well done. I almost never accidently hit a platter. It looks pretty solid in the case, it sets up in less than 5 minutes, and you're not sacraficing a ton of features in the name of portability and price.
