19" rackmount bar holds 2 - 14" gooseneck lights with dimmer knobs. Perfect for lighting DJ racks and consoles. Includes power supply.
The dimmer knob acts more like an off/on switch than a dimmer. The knob offers more than 180 degrees rotation but only 1/16" of that is devoted to dimming. I can only get off, pulsating and on. I contacted American DJ directly and they told me that this was normal. Also, the goosenecks seem loose and tend to sag quite a bit. The offset 1U panel reveals wiring from other components. I think a flat panel would have sufficed. However, the two lights provide the flexibility I need and are at a workable brightness. I'm not crazy about the wall wart transformer but at the same time if it dies, it's replacable without service to the rack lights. I had to play musical outlets to get it fit in the back of the Furman. Overall, this unit works well as an install-and-forget device in a fixed equipment rack. I can't recommend it for dimming.
