Overview

The RF260SE is a great-sounding and understated parlor with quality spruce top and mahogany back and sides, fitted with the Alvarez SYS250 from B-Band, a three-band EQ with onboard digital backlit tuner.

The Alvarez Regent Series is a high-quality, entry-level guitar line designed to provide superior instruments with many features and specifications you'll find in pro-level Alvarez models. Components such as the bi-level rosewood bridge, scalloped bracing and PPS synthetic bone nut and saddle, work together to get the best tone and response possible.

The sound is open and full, and the guitars have been made to respond well, making them rewarding to play.

Regent Series has also been designed with the student in mind and has a slightly slimmer neck profile and nut, making it very easy to hold and fret.

This guitar has a roadworthy, vintage vibe with a satin finish. This is a great looking guitar and for its size has a very open and warm voice. It is fitted with the Alvarez SYS250 from B-Band, a 3-band EQ with onboard digital backlit tuner.

Comments about Alvarez RP266SE Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Excellent practice tool! Great for beginners and seasoned players alike. Tone is (of course) not as warm and full as my 1,000 dollar De' Angelico auditorium, but it frets easier, and is so fun and addictive to play on the couch, or anywhere you are that you won't care. Still sounds great for the price. I'm not usually one to go without my pick. This guitar makes me want to finger pick. Buy this guitar if you're in the market for a fun, inexpensive, practice tool that you won't be able to take your hands or fingers off of.

Comments about Alvarez RP266SE Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

So I picked this up recently during an August 2017 sale for 199. Loved it the moment I unboxed it.... would have preferred a glossy, shinny, inlaid fancy piece, but putting it in the motorcycle trailer for the trip to the smokies from DFW, this was the safe, financially responsible bet. Sounds great, has a good tone with plenty of sustain for a little body (but not as little as most parlors exactly). had a decent road runner small body bag that fit it with plenty of room. Nice boomy for it's size....put one of those D'addario sound hole helpers in...enhancing the tone too. Stays in tune (within reason, carrying it around so much)....Very Happy! Sounds great unplugged and greater, plugged in... on board tuner is a little slow to respond some time, but not a reason to lower the grade. warm and chunky, but with plenty of sparkly high end.

        Nice practice guitar

Comments about Alvarez RP266SE Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar for practicing. The small body makes it easy to play when sitting on the couch. It has a very warm sound compared to a spruce top dreadnought. It definitely sounds better when finger picking rather than strumming but it sounds very nice when strumming. The onboard tuner is very handy and works well. It sounds good when plugged in to an amp also. Keep in mind it is a parlor guitar and the neck crosses the body at the 12th fret. You can get to the 12th fret pretty easily but that is about it.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

*** The scale length is 24" not 25.5" that it says in the item description. ***
