The Alvarez RD16CE Regent Series Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Cutaway is a serious guitar and constructed using many of the same components and techniques used in building their higher-end instruments. It sounds and plays superbly well and is a classi- looking dreadnought.
The RD16CE has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, classic tonewoods that generate a warm and well-balanced tone. Alvarez have made the neck profile on Regent Series a little finer so they're easier to play and every model is constructed using a dovetail neck joint that optimizes the transfer of energy between the neck and body.
This acoustic-electric version features a preamp with a 3-band EQ and built-in tuner, and is equally at home both on and off stage.
All Regent Series instruments are fitted with the Alvarez bi-level bridge to carry more vibration to the top, which improves tone and resonance, and the PPS saddle and nut help to improve response and sustain.
This instrument has also been finished using an electrostatic painting process for a more even finish that uses less paint in its application. This allows the guitar to sing a little more and it also looks fantastic.
Premium die-cast tuners deliver tuning stability.
Comes with the Alvarez Limited Lifetime Warranty. Case sold separately.

I've had this guitar for nearly three months, and it has been amazing! It sounds consistently rich and full. The D'Addario strings it comes with are great. The wood colors are even better than I expected. The built-in tuner is non-obtrusive and easy to use. One quirk is that the battery for the tuner is located at the plugin, not near the tuner itself. The guitar has only one strap button at the bottom; be mindful of this fact if you buy a strap for it. All in all, this guitar is more than worth the price it is selling for!
I bought this guitar and the bridge was coming apart. This guitar sounded terrible because the bridge was not properly glued. So i would not recommend this guitar to anyone. However, i took the guitar back and guitar center was nice enough to refund me my money and i turned around and bought a Mitchell md200S which sounds great.
