  • Loving this Subwoofer so far

As reviewed by James Tillman on 8/20/2012

I bought this subwoofer to replace my Mackie SRM1801in my dj setup. I had nothing but problems with the Mackie so I finally gave up and decided to try a different similarly priced sub. Guitar Center recommended the Alto because he said every DJ they sold this to loved it and they hadn't had any returns. I played this weekend at it ROCKED. I could never push my Mackie really hard because the red clip light would always come on. I didn't clip once this with the Alto. What I also really like about this speaker is that it has a built in fan but its still lighter than the Mackie. So far so good with the Alto and I am a happy customer. I'm even thinking about buying another one to really blow the place out.

  • Love it!

As reviewed by Kenny Lee on 4/3/2013

I bought the 18' sub and two 15' mains. I love them. They sound very good. I will be adding a second 18' sub very soon.

  • Satisfied Mobile DJ

As reviewed by Ian Kemp on 4/21/2012

I don't think spending $400 more on a "better" sub would have been worth it. I've been using it for about 5 months. It may not be the loudest sub on the block but it does the job. I can carry it by myself. It seems more like a mid class product than a budget product. I plan on getting a second one. I think a pair of these is the best way to go on a budget. I also have 2 powered Alto 15" PA's and all three sound great together but I know adding another sub will complete my setup. Overall I am happy with Alto.
