My son loves his Sax, he bought this to play on his own as he already plays the alto sax in his school band.

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Straight Soprano Saxophone with Two Necks:

I have played alto saxophone in church for years, but recently wanted to buy a soprano saxophone. I like to tone on this saxophone, but the reason I gave it 4 stars is because when you play on the higher end of the sax, up towards the F and F#, it is really difficult to get a good, consistent sound out of the instrument. I'm going to continue working with it to get the right sound I want, but it is difficult to sound them out when playing higher up. Sometimes it squeaks or cuts out when you're playing up there. I've played alto sax for years and can play the upper notes just fine, but it's something difficult on this soprano saxophone.

A gift for my daughter who plays in the marching and concert bands in high school. She has not been able to put down the sax. She practices everyday.

Value priced with great tone. I ordered a Yamaha mouthpiece which is a better fit and the 2.0 and 2.5 reeds. Very pleased with this instument and ordering was easy to order along with several of the accessories through MusiciansFriend.com
