Overview

The advent of extrusion technologies and wild imaginations on the part of musical instrument builders has resulted in the availability of a generation of plastic construction instruments. The first such instrument to hit the market was a plastic trombone. This is the ATB100 Aere Plastic Trombone, a low-cost alternative to a brass trombone.

The most important criterion in selecting an instrument is sound quality, and each ATG100 Aere plastic trombone is precision-made to a detailed specification developed through extensive research. The result is a truly responsive instrument suitable for novice and pro players alike.

Made from lightweight super-resilient toughened ABS plastic, these instruments are easy to hold and easy to transport, and no more worries about dents and damage.

Allora, maker of exceptional and affordable brass instruments, is now offering a revolutionary design in the form of their AERE Series composite instruments. Developed from durable ABS plastic the AERE trumpets and trombones are lighter and more affordable than their brass counterparts, but still function as truly exceptional and versatile instruments.Like all Allora instruments, the new AERE Series is designed with True Note Technology, combining metal with ABS plastic to create structurally sound instruments with a unique blended brass instrument tone. AERE also benefits from a unique plating process that enables the instruments to radiate with an outstanding metallic finish. From the football field to the concert stage the look of these instruments get almost as much attention as the sound.

Comments about Allora ATB100 Aere Series Plastic Trombone:

I'm giving a five star review because my son who asked for this for Christmas hasn't put it down since he opened it. Thought about giving it four stars because my son hasn't put it down since he opened it.

Comments about Allora ATB100 Aere Series Plastic Trombone:

This is the second trombone. I bought this product and after delivery I opened it and the part on the slider was broken. I returned it and a new one arrived and again it was broken and the slider handle was in glued and a crack on the turn. Worst product I ever bought.

Comments about Allora ATB100 Aere Series Plastic Trombone:

I am a professional musician however I am new to trombone and brass instruments. Bought the plastic trombone for fun and for something to play while looking for a 'nicer' used metal trombone for my son's beginner lessons. I was impressed with the trombone and accessories for the price. It is light weight, easy to play and very durable (no worries about dents). We chose his school colors so it will be great for marching band, parades, etc.

It was flat with the tuning slide all the way in. I fixed easily fixed this in 2 minutes by removing the tuning slide then filing down the tubes that receive the tuning slide (just a little) - perfect.

Not sure how how long the slide lock and screw on the slide receiver will last. Maybe there are replacement parts?

I am glad I bought it. If the band instructor likes it I may not get a metal horn. I am playing it more than my son!
