Comments about Alfred Paul Gilbert - Get Out Of My Yard DVD:
If you buy this DVD you will become a better guitar player, guaranteed. Paul is a natural teacher, and the vibe is easy and relaxed. He's not trying to impress anybody. Paul not only shows you super licks from the coolest songs from his album, Get Out Of My Yard, but also provides four appendixes (which are not advertised) in which Paul shows you how to develop flawless technique like his, in example, alternate picking, arpeggios, and bending. That's the best part of it. Even if your style is completely different than his, you'll be able to learn his techniques and play your own songs much better. I can attest! Plus this DVD features some cool live performances that will keep you inspired forever! My only knock is that there's no tab, but hey, it really helps train your ears. Recommended for intermediate level students, for sure. You have to have a fairly solid musical (music note) knowledge and decent right and left hand technique. Dedicated study of this DVD would yield tremendous results. Enjoy!
