Learn to play your favorite Rush songs with these terrific drum transcriptions and play-along backing tracks. The CD contains 2 versions of each song: a complete version for demonstration and a play-along version without drums so you can play with the rhythm tracks. Plus the CD contains embedded software that allows you to slow down, loop, and even transpose keys.
It's definitely fun. The music CD is good, and the sheet music book is accurate. My only complaint is that there aren't more songs in the book.
This book has some good songs on it, however there are a few noticeable errors. Some ghost notes are missing, the way some of the notes are written can leave some confused (forgetting to indicate some notes as triplets, saying notes are 16th notes when they are 32nd, etc.), forgetting to add some open hi hat notes, etc. One major problem is the end of Closer of the Heart. It is completely off right after the triplet fill. However, a skilled drummer and listener should be able to fill in the gaps. This book is meant for people with the everyday drumkit, so if you want exact notation, look elsewhere. But, if you can ignore the mistakes, and if you want to play these complex songs on an everyday drumkit, this book is for you. The CD just plays the stuff that is written in the book, so you're pretty much better off listening to the actual song.
