Alesis PercPad

By SABINO LAGATTOLLA

from Hudson, MA

As the drummer for a hard rock cover band, I found that I needed something to fill in those missing sounds that make songs seem empty. This is a great little device. I have 25 sounds to use on 4 different pads. In addition, I can adjust pitch level and reverb level for each individual pad. The only downside is lack of good low end kick drum sounds, but, I can add that, if I want, via MIDI. Great product, Alesis.

Impressed

By MARK MEASLER

from Greenwood, South Carolina

I got this with the optional mount and the heavy duty Mapex clamp. WOW was my first impression. Easy to operate and plenty of sounds for $100. I replaced my cowbell, jam block, tamborine, timbale and I needed the "Clap" sound. Takes up less space and is more versitle than the above mentioned items. Every sound is customizable, pitch + -, assignable to any pad and the reverb is a nice touch. This is my first time using electronics with my acoustic kit. The two 1/4" outputs are great, one for a little guitar amp as my monitor / practice and the other to the main board. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Great for the price

By Chip Whiting

from Eugene Oregon

I bought this to use on a MacPro tower with Logic and EZ Drummer, works great. I am even using the Bass drum pedal from RockBand (PS3) to trigger the kick. Just use an adapter, and it's pretty sweet. There is a tiny, and I mean tiny, bit of latency, but not enough to mess you up. All in all pretty sweet pad!
