Alesis MultiMix 8 USB FX
The MutliMix 8 USB FX compact mixer comes with built-in effects and doubles as a computer recording interface so you can mix, record, or do both at the same time. Whether you are mixing a band or sub-mixing a group of inputs, such as a drumset, the MultiMix 8 USB FX is easy to use, rugged, and packed with features. Offering microphone inputs with phantom power, guitar-direct inputs, and line-level inputs for connecting everything else, plus a wide range of effects, the MultiMix 8 USB FX delivers clean audio to your PA or recording system with hassle-free computer connection.

This dynamic mixer features four XLR inputs with independent gain pots on channels one through four. These XLR inputs also have a switchable phantom power option to accommodate both dynamic and condenser microphones. TRS Line inputs are also available on all eight channels. New to the MultiMix 8 USB FX is a high-impedance input on channel two, which allows direct connection of a guitar or bass. This is a great convenience for singer/songwriters looking to get a clean, "hot" signal. A Tape RCA stereo input is also included adding the ability to mix in audio from other sources such as a CD or LP player.

Harbinger APS12 12" Powered Speaker
The 150W Harbinger APS12 is a 12", 2-way, powered PA speaker system with full-range response that makes it ideal for vocals and acoustic performances. The Harbinger APS12 is equipped with a 12" woofer with a 1-3/8" compression driver, 3-channel mic/line mixer, 2 mic/line input channels with individual balanced and unbalanced connections, 1 dual RCA/single XLR line input for playback devices, and much more.

The Audio-Technica M4000S Handheld dynamic microphones have professional features with a ridiculously affordable price tag. Their frequency response is tailored for crystal-clear vocal reproduction. Great feedback rejection and focused pick up are due to the unidirectional polar pattern. It also features a handy on/off switch for ease of use.

Nice

By Fred Engle

from Providence, RI

Due to an unanticipated backorder situation, it took 57 days to receive this system via internet order. Having said that; upon receipt I set up the system and found it to be as advertised. As a Videographer I do my own audio (rather than a mixer feed) and thought if I had a nice little system I could just as well provide audio (mostly voice) for small to medium size venues. I can charge a bit more, but more importantly I won?t have to work with OPE (other people?s equipment). Although I haven?t used the system at a gig yet, I?m quoting it, and confident this was a good buy. I should also mention that because the speakers are identical, and powered, I have quite a bit of flexibility in what solutions I offer. For example, in a classroom, I could bring one speaker and one microphone and get the job done. Good design of the controls and in-outputs add to the flexibility. Ok, this is not a premium system, however, the performance is absolutely acceptable, and just as important, it looks professional. Unfortunately, in this day and age appearance is a real consideration. Bring anything that looks cheesy and it doesn?t matter much what the performance is. You will be remembered for cheesy equipment. I?m very happy with this ?bang for the buck? purchase and recommend it to others.

the best for starters

By Oluremi Fesojaye

from Kennesaw, Georgia

This pack contains everything you certainly need to start your own little band, starting from the mics, wires, mixer to the powered speaker. I say its more bang for your money & its the best you can get for that price. Lastly, you can record all and listen after.... its amazingly the best for starters.

Decent value for the money

By EDWARD OLSON

from Chetek, WI

I pulled the package from the packaging, hooked every thing up (which was very easy) plugged everything in and started using it in my basement studio. It has performed flawlessly to this point (I have owned it for about a month now). It absolutly filled the room with sound, even though the volume was less than half. Would recommend this for anyone on a budget. I even got a better deal since I am a rewards member and recieved a coupon for 15% off. It helped bring the cost down even further. The only complaint I have is that the speaker cords are too short, 20 feet each side, 25 or fifty would be better. The further you can seperate the speakers the clearer the sound.

More than I bargained for

By Herman Burney

from Ashville, AL

Bought this unit, for a price much cheaper than I could have imagined, When it arrived, I was totally shocked at the size of the speakers and the output that I heard. The Speakers alone, are worth the price of the entire unit. The stands are very durable. And the board is easy to operate. I am starting a church, and have no keyboard player or other musician, so I am able to hook up my Laptop, easily, and bring music into our church. Also have learned how to hook up a second computer to record services, for those who request a copy of our services. I AM VERY PLEASED!!

Good price for home karaoke

By Laura

from Chandler az

We bought this system not knowing anything about sound equipment. It's a great price and the sound is fantastic. The mics are low quality, tho and started cutting out after a few uses. We plan to upgrade to wireless. Also, this package is not available in store, even thou it says it is. We ordered on line and got it in about 7 days with free shipping.

By DJ CUELLAR

very nice product. Everything worked fine and all items were high quality and very sturdy. The speakers did good for a small sized party room, house parties, or schools. They werent very loud for a big party room, although extra speakers can be bought

Not bad at all

By DJ 707

from Houston, Tx

Purchased this package two weeks ago let me say that I am impressed with this package. The stands are very sturdy and have good height on them. The speakers are sturdy and sound pretty good for the price. Only problem I have is that the speaker power cords are very short but will purchase extensions for them. The mixer isn't that great and the software that came with the mixer I canۡt get to work with the mixer and on top of that the program is difficult to unlock. However if you are talking about the sound aspect of the package, I say go for it and Yes I recommend this package for startup DJ's

Best Deal for New DJ just starting Out!!!!!

By Knight-life

from Taylor, MI

I bought this package 2 weeks ago and used them twice for two gigs over the past weekend. Received many comments how how great the sound was (Volume on both Speakers and the Mixing board was at only a third of the volume)Can't wait to play a venue where I can crank these up. Used once for just playing music, the second time for Karaoke. Both instances were awesome!!!!! These 12 inch speaker/PA was more then needed for a large hall setting. Also like the fact there is outputs on each speaker to expand the system further. The expert advise from Guitar Center staff has been outstanding everytime I need to purchase something! They have earned my business for life!

Bang for your buck

By Dave

from Willow Grove, PA

So I was between this one and the Peavey when I went into GC's store and talked to the guy as they're both the same price. We looked at specs and realized how much more powerful the speakers are on this model. I'm so glad I went with this package. The speakers have inputs on them themselves so if I just want to play out by myself I can go with just one or two speakers. Or if I want to record myself on my computer, there's a USB connector on the Alesis board. I haven't taken it out too much but I've been seeing the Harbinger speakers around a lot and they seem to hold up.

Well worth the Money

By MG

from Atlanta,GA

Good bang for your buck. The speakers alone would be expensive. I have only had the system a few weeks but so far everything has meet my expectations. The speakers do need a little break in time, and when no music is playing you will get a hum but its not that noticeable. Mics sound good and dont feel cheap. Mixer works well with the speakers. Overall quality of the equipment is better than i expected. If you want a good system and dont want to break the bank. Here you go....
