Product Information

Perfect for playing software drum modules.

The USB Pro Drum Kit combines the popular Alesis Trigger iO with drum kit controller hardware to give drummers a complete e-percussion kit for playing software drum modules using a highly accurate and expressive drum kit.

All of the pads in the USB Pro Drum Kit use real drum heads that deliver a very natural feel. The snare and tom pads have dual zone triggers for added expression. All of the cymbals have been designed for that true cymbal feel. The 13" Surge Crash and 16" Surge Ride cymbals have choke capability and the ride has dual-zone triggering. The kit also includes a 12" Surge electronic hi-hat (Single-zone), while the hi-hat controller pedal sends continuous controller messages for realistic hi-hat playability.

The USB Pro Drum Kit is the ideal e-percussion drum kit for capturing your performance straight to your computer.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Pretty awesome for the price

In 1995, I had a Roland TD-7K electronic drum kit. As far as feel and response are concerned, this Alesis USB kit blows it away and costs a third of what I bought the Roland's for all those years ago. The Alesis kit doesn't have any sounds (just a Trigger IO) but that's perfect since I use it with Toontrack dfh Superior which ends up sounding lightyears better than the old TD-7 sound module (it even sounds better than the BFD Lite supplied with the kit). The Surge cymbals are absolutely great. The reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the hi-hat pedal--it outputs the Pedal Closed note in a weird position and isn't velocity sensitive (the pedal closed is therefore very loud even if you do it softly). The mylar/cymbal playing surfaces aren't as quiet as mesh/rubber kits, so keep that in mind if you need to play or practice silently.

Good Value, great performance

I got one of these, I play guitar, bass, and have a home studio, since I don't have the space for an acoustic drum set, and was sick and tired of programming, I decided to try this, I used Digidesign Strike at first, until I discover KitCore, since I don't want a lot of loops, KitCore is perfect for me, I got tons of "kits" available. It takes a while to get the Trigger I/O to be properly set up, but once you tweak the settings, it does wonders for your proper velocity, I decided to track again all my drum parts using this Kit, It's just like live drums, only that you can go back and fix the mistakes on your MIDI Track, still having the human feel to it, rather than quantizing, and sounding "mechanic", I recommend it to all those with limited space and wanting to get started on playing drums.
