Alesis SamplePad Percussion Instrument Sampling Pad (H79235)
Availability:

Customize your drum or percussion setup by adding your own unique sounds.

The Alesis SamplePad Multi-Pad Sample Instrument is a compact four-pad instrument that gives you access to a limitless palette of sounds. With 25 percussion and electronic drum sounds built in, and the ability to load any sounds you like using a standard SD card, the SamplePad put the sounds you need on its great feeling pads. Add a external trigger input for a trigger or switch pedal and the ability to mount on virtually any snare stand or rack, and the SamplePad makes expanding your setup easy and convenient.

Small Size Fits All
This Alesis SamplePad will fit almost anywhere, so it's perfect for drummers and other instrumentalists who want to incorporate sampled sounds into their setups. It's just like adding another drum to your rig: mount the SamplePad on a standard snare drum stand or connect it to any stand or rack using an accessory mount. For studio use, the SamplePad can simply be placed on a tabletop.

The SamplePad is just the opposite of cumbersome, hard to use multi-percussion units; it's designed to be small, self-contained and easy to use, offering just what you need and nothing you don't. It gives you access to hundreds of your own sounds, plus 25 in-demand percussion and electronic drum sounds, while adding virtually nothing to your set-up time.

Essential Sounds
The SamplePad comes equipped with a collection of acoustic and electronic drum and percussion sounds that are perfectly suited to the needs of drummers and percussionists. These sounds are standards in any drummer’s toolbox, and you can mix and match them with your own samples, assigning each to the pad you choose or to the kick input. You'll find ready-to-play acoustic and electronic drums and percussion from Latin America and Asia that are perfect for complimenting your drums.

Connect the SamplePad to an amplifier, PA or recording system using its standard dual 1/4-inch outputs, and monitor on your favorite headphones. The kick input works with most pads and triggers including the DMPad and RealHead Kick Pads.

Clutterless Capability
With the SamplePad's easy-to-use interface, you won't be rifling through endless submenus and categories to find the sound your looking for. Simply strike the pad you want to change, dial to the sound you want and you're done. If you discover a great combination of sounds you want to keep together, simply designate it as a kit and the SamplePad will save it for easy recall anytime you want.

  • You CAN use as a kit and more

As reviewed by Steve Gray on 2/5/2013

Brian Ettinger's statement is only true to a certain extent: He wrote "... You can't play multiple pads in close succession or simultaneously without one of the sounds randomly not registering..." Yes, that is true. However, just two slight modifications to your playing style: 1> eliminate simultaneous hits and 2> simplify your playing somewhat (just a litte bit) and you'll find this is a great little unit. Just combine it with a hi-hat and a ride and you can set up in the smallest corner of the coffee house stage. My original rock band plays unplugged gigs from time to time; so I plugged in a kick pedal, hooked it up to a tiny Kustom PA along with a Sunfire 8" cube subwoofer and it rocked the house! I had a full kit set up on a postage stamp, lol! And, when I use it with the the band's full-on electric set-up, I use it to trigger my own custom samples. What more can you expect for under 200 bucks? I even got it on sale for 169.00! Needless to say, after getting used to it and working around it's shortcomings (come on, it's only 199 bucks!) I'm extremely happy with it.

  • Awesome & Easy!

As reviewed by John Treloar on 3/4/2012

This is an amazing product for an affordable price. Putting samples on it is so easy & it's a great addition to your kit. I'm in a post-hardcore/metal band so we wanted to add some bass drops in our songs...this was the best way to do it! Simple & well worth the money!

  • Alesis SamplePad

As reviewed by SABINO LAGATTOLLA _ on 1/21/2013

I play in a hard rock cover band. We throw in some random pop stuff to surprise/annoy the crowd. Some of that music requires different sound samples. I have connected a kick trigger, giving me 5 different options for any one song. Multiply that by the limitless sound options I now have, and the musical choices we have are now just as unlimited. This is not a drumset. Not really sure why anyone would want this to be. This little baby helps takes very little space, is rack mountable and has plenty of features and built in sounds. Adding the ability to add my own samples, very easily, may I add, just takes it up to the next level. Well done, Alesis.
