This monitors are well worth the money. I was between these and a pair of M-Audio BX5a's which are in the same price range. I feel these far out preform the BX5's. These speakers have better bottom end to them which reduces the need for a sub and has slightly more accurate reproduction of highs. Overall, these speakers are well worth the money.
I owned a pair of these beauties for 4 years until they gave out. Luckily it was at home when that happened. These monitor speakers have a knob in which you can adjust the volume which really comes in handy. Too bad they don't come up with their own equalizer. Overall, a great buy for a home/house party DJ. I recommend them.
I hear this monitors on a friends Studio, and sounds so flat in a good acoustic room, otherwise you will hear a little more bass, that you could fix blocking one of the holes, but is not the idea, better expend for a good bass traps and acoustic panels.
These monitor are the best option for that price range, the bass frec. that you will hear are great, better than if you choose a 5" monitor like yamaha hsf 5,.
If you have a chance, hear it first, i recomended this monitors, i see it those monitors in a profesionals estudios, they used for reference combining with a proffesional ones.
Try it first, buy after, you would not dissapointed.
