Alesis DEQ-230 Programmable Digital Stereo Graphic EQ

Very clean and very useful

The Alesis DEQ-230 is a programmable digital dual 30 band EQ, but it's so clean and clear that you'd never guess you were digitizing your signal. I use it with everything from vocals to raw guitars and never worry it will alter my tube signal paths in a bad way, it gives me a fantastic level of control over my tone and that's pretty much the point here. You can use it to boost a great frequency, cut a problem one, or as an effect to create sounds like playing guitar in a tunnel, singing through a megaphone, etc. Since you can save up to 50 of your own presets, you can save settings for certain rooms if you use it live, or save settings for specific applications; you'll find the included factory presets will cover most apllications with minimal tweaking. Really a pro quality unit that exceeded my expectations, some products come together in a way that makes them feel a little better when compared to similar products, the Alesis DEQ-230 is one of those.
