The MPD32 Control Surface is Akai Professional's ultimate velocity-sensitive pad controller for musicians and DJs. Modeled after the industry-standard MPC series, it's one of the most expressive software beat controllers available.

Sixteen velocity and pressure-sensitive, genuine MPC pads provide exceptional feel and expression. It has 4 selectable pad banks for a total of 64 playable pads. Eight assignable faders, 8 assignable switches, and 8 assignable 360 knobs transmit MIDI Control Change data and combine for unprecedented creative freedom. Three selectable control banks extend the number of available faders, buttons, and knobs to 24 each. Two assignable footswitch inputs, and an expression pedal input, take the total assignable controller count to 75, for an amazing degree of control options.

The Akai MPD32 MIDI Controller also features transport controls for interfacing with your DAW and sequencing applications. It is a fully programmable controller and multifunctional control surface, that fits perfectly within any audio production or performance environment.

AKAI Perfection

By

from Tampa, Florida

Comments about Akai Professional MPD32 MIDI/USB Software Control Surface:

This is an excellent MIDI controller. Not only are the included presets to control your software well thought out, but the hassle free ability to modify the presets and to create your own are very straight forward. Also, the pads have typical AKAI responsiveness and they will operate as a 3 octive synth controller.

Comments about Akai Professional MPD32 MIDI/USB Software Control Surface:

The feel of the pads is great, the extra faders are great and its very simple to use and get the hang of. Whatever program you're using will recognize it right away as well.

i love this thing

Comments about Akai Professional MPD32 MIDI/USB Software Control Surface:

This one unit allows me to replace two different controllers. It is well thought out, spacious, responsive, and freakin' cool as all hell. Having three controllers banks for the 8 faders and sliders (meaning 24 of each...) and 4 pad banks (meaning 64 of each) means that for live sets, the whole thing can be set up so that the computer hardly needs to be messed with. My only gripe is the 360 degree knobs - if you swing a little too far past 0 or 127, you have to swing forward or back to catch the cc again. Other than that, this makes me wish i had just started working with an MPC instead of software.

AKAI MPD 32 midi controller

By

from Pacoima California

Comments about Akai Professional MPD32 MIDI/USB Software Control Surface:

Very Nice Midi Controller from Akai Professional Just purchased this baby a week ago its very powerful for some pads. I run Pro Tools M-power7.4 and Reason 4.01 It has giving me a much better work flow. My Drums now have a true MPC style swing the feel that I could not get the Software to do all on its own. Its a must have for DAW software Music Heads like myself. Thanks Akai for making such a Great Midi Controller.

The MPD32 is a "DAW" studio set up must have!!

By

from Plymouth,MN/Chicago

Comments about Akai Professional MPD32 MIDI/USB Software Control Surface:

First off,out the box this thing is larger then the mpd24,but more importantly It's really easy to get up and going. If you work out of DAW's like reason, fl studio, cubase, ect. this is perfect as far as programing, levels and tweaking. I use it for bangin out drums, chops and as a mixer. If your moving from analog, to a digital set up, the mpd is more compatable then a mpc. Biggest pro is the note repeat and mpc swing. The only con is thin pads(but you can replace it with mpc 2000 pads if you need to)This thing is my new baby!
