...Which is exactly why I decided to give drummers gloves a try. I have been drumming since I was 14, and in all ofthat time I never found the need for gloves...until now. Mostly it's because I now am in a band where we play multiple shows and many back-to-back. From the sheer amount of playing, my fingers are taking a beating. So I thought I'd try gloves. These AHEAD Drummers Gloves were the answer I was looking for. Full protection from nightly blisters, a nice tight, almost "second skin"-like fit, and a grip that gives me confidence when I play. I have what I would call small to average hands. I purchased the large size, which, although quite tight, actually give me the feel I both wanted and need when playing. These AHEAD gloves look and feel great and are a fine addition to my drumming performances. As a drummer, if you are new to gloves or just looking to replace your current pair, I highly recommend these AHEAD Drummers Gloves.

No Blisters!!

By Dillon Escue

from Tulsa, Oklahoma

I play Hard Rock and I hit hard. They are great gloves if you don't like blisters. I have two concerns. One is they do not seem to last very long before the tear. Also I tend to do a lot of twirls when I play live and it is very hard to do because they are not as sticky as I would like.

Great gloves, need more sizes

By Tommy Mackey

from LI, NY

These gloves are great, they stop blisters and give some extra grip, i play metal and i play hard, i wear them on occasions, my only problem...I have big hands. I own the XL pair but thier much too small. If they came out with a 2 or 3XL pair i would be set, that would be awsome.

Best drumming gloves ever!

By Christy

from Pittsburgh, PA

I have been playing drums for 15+ years and I have only gone through three pairs of these gloves. I started using these in an independent marching corps and then decided to use them with my kit. They provide the best protection without taking away the feel of your sticks. I would recommend these gloves to anyone who plays a lot. Either on the stage, or on the field, they are the best!

They're simply awesome

By Xailiant

from Pittsburgh, PA

They've got to be one of the best investments i've put into my kit. The only problem is i have a habit of throwing my gloves down and getting the velcro stuck on the silky silver, fraying the material. As long as you take care of them, unlike myself, you will love them.

Improved grip, still ended up with damaged hands, but good overall. Worth buying.

By Dan

from Columbus, Ohio

These are nice gloves. My hands breathe well while playing and I gained a slight amount of additional stick control. I play hard rock, punk and metal, so naturally my hands take quite a beating under normal circumstances. I have always had the problem of tearing and ripping the skin on the insides of my fingers in between joints while playing, causing painful blisters and sores. For the longest time I simply taped my hands between joints, but I still came away with hands that were pretty roughed up. These gloves reduced the amount of damage my hands took considerably. I still had some skin pull up on my right ring finger, but other than that, I had no sore spots. If you play the hard stuff and you're tired of beat-up hands, these are worth a buy.

The Best Period

By brandon dudley

from rising sun, MD

These gloves are the best small improvement to your dexterity. Alows you to play without your skin ripping apart and absorbs the shock(in my opinion)

Get a Grip

By Don

from Boise, ID

My hands are kinda leathery, so I can't really feel the sticks or amount of my grip and they tended to slip out of my grip. These gloves are better than tape because they're always on no matter what you pick up, and the (minimal) wrist support actually did aid in some wrist shock inflamation that I was experiencing. The leather is extremely thin like golf gloves so my first pair split after 1 year of 2X/week but I guess that's actually a pretty good life. I'm buying these again.
