Metallica's sound comes from these sticks!!!
For all drummers who are sick of spending their paychecks on stupid vic firth sticks then go Ahead with these sticks (lol) Seriously if you want a strong sound like Lars' then you'll get these sticks. The feel at the hilt of the stick is metal-like so it won't blister your hands too bad. Plus the feeling of the sticks is unique, no other brand can match up to these sticks. A definent must have

metal sticks....thats genius
these sticks are great for what theyre made for. durability. ive had them for a few months (3-5. not really sure)and theyre not broken, and im a pretty hard hitter. only problem is that the covers get chewed up pretty fast. but theyre like, 5 bucks. i gave it a 4 cuz theyre pretty much good for metal and rock and such. if you like to use the handle for rimshots or wutever, then you wouldnt like these that much. since the handles are metal, its not good for the stick or the cymbals/rims to use them. other than that theyre awesome sticks. the idea to make metal sticks is just pure genius. very ingenuitive. i would say definately get them if youre into metal and hard rock, but if u like to use the handles and need a durable stick, get some thick wood sticks, like the thomas lang model or something.

The Ultimate Metal Drumsticks
These sticks are great drumsticks. Not only do they give you an incredibly good grip, but they are balanced to perfection. Although they are on the heavier side they still make great sticks to play rock with. Also, they are the coolest looking sticks ever!! So if you dont have a pair, go and buy some.

These stick are the BEST
These sticks are the legend. These sticks make a great sound on the drums and cymbals. They are really light. If you are a roll freak, These sticks make it the best possible way to make the rolls easy to do and it makes it very crisp. It also protects the life of your drums. When i was using wooden sticks i would replace a drum head every month more or less. Its been 2 and a half years and there arent even dents in the heads. Same with the cymbals. It has a loud and profound effect. But they are still as shiny and smooth as when i bought them

Had them for years....
I haven't played for a while, but when I was playing constantly, they were the best I ever used. I used the same set for a couple of years and they never broke, and rarely had to replace the tips from wear. THE BEST!!!!!

build those chops
i have been using these sticks since before last christmas and they are still pretty good looking. not having to replace sticks every other day is nice for metal players. however, word for the none wiser i thought the grip tape was unnecessary after using for a few weeks and i wish i kept it on. i twirl and spin and NEVER drop sticks but these have slipt several times. and great for muscle work, i have developed stick technique very quickly but without the tape i get tired fast. thats why im buying a smaller pair. at least try them. they dont fail.

amzing sticks, just needs griptape
ok first of all ahead sticks in general are amazing. they feel great to use, make your drums sound great and last much longer than wooden sticks. now for the lars ulrich sticks, they are great to use and have fun with and to play metallica type drumming, but it can be hard to play very fast or to snare buzz type sounds like fast rolls etc. they have a lot of bounce, because they have a long taper. and the extra length is great too for power hits not speed. oh and make sure to buy the grip tape too otherwise they are impossible to hold onto, trust me grip tape will make a huge difference. just try em out.

FINALLY!!!
These Lars Ulrich sticks are incredible. I was worried that they would be too heavy due to the dimensions but they are not. They just have a little weight on the handles which gives it this amazing feel. It was weird, when i played with em on the drum set they felt lighter than if i was practicing elsewhere. They also have this sweet rebound which was surprising since my smaller wood sticks didn't even respond as well. When reading other reviews i saw people say they could not roll or play fast, everyone has a different idea of what"fast" is. I've played slipknot and divine heresy songs with these sticks with no problem, so it depends on how developed your wrist speed is really. I hope this has been helpful to anyone buying sticks esp ahead's. PS. the only con is that the metallica and signature kinda fade away after a while, but so what, they are still great sticks.

i bought these sticks hoping they would give me the great and powerful sound that Lars makes. Well they did and i love them they definately do not wear out as fast as my other wood sticks and i would reccomend them to any Rocl/Metal drummers out there!

Lars Ulrich drumsticks
First of all I highly recommend that people should spend a little more on getting the anti slip grip tape for more support. These stick are REALY good and I personally like the balance and feel of each stick. And to my surprise when I play these sticks they don't feel pain full to my hands unlike vic virth and it doesn't give me blisters on my hands and THAT is good, and the design is simple and really cool, and finally I like how you can have replacement parts and that shows the dedication put in each pair. These sticks are a MUST HAVE.
