The Aguilar OBP-2 was designed to give bassists fat tone while being small enough to fit in tight spaces. Wired up with one 9V battery, it will fit into just about any instrument. With +/-18dB of boost and cut at 40Hz and +/- 16dB of treble boost and cut at 6.5kHz you can emphasize the frequencies you want to make your bass sound great in any mix. Add a second 9V for an extra 6dB boost.
Aguilar Amplification's DB series of electronics are covered under warranty to the original owner for a period of ten years from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. AG series electronics, GS series speaker cabinets, and S series speaker cabinets are covered by the warranty for a period of 3 years. Tubes are covered by the warranty for a period of six months.
The warranty period starts from the date of purchase from an authorized Aguilar dealer. Your sales slip or purchase invoice is necessary for warranty service.
Before sending your unit to Aguilar for repair, you must receive a return authorization number from us. Contact us via phone, fax, or email (techsupport@aguilaramp.com) with a description of the problem. We will then issue to you a return authorization number.
You are responsible for all shipping charges. You must ship the unit to us freight prepaid. We will return the unit to you freight collect. If the unit is being sent from outside the United States you will also be responsible for customs brokerage, if applicable. Please check with your freight forwarder for assistance.
Aguilar Amplification LLC is not responsible for shipping damage, either to or from our service center. Claims must be filed with the carrier.

I purchased the OBP2 for a retrofit of a passive five-string bass. The bass was very muddy before installing it. The OBP2 added a lot of clarity and warmth to the sound, especially to the low-end. I installed it so I could use two 9v batteries for 18v operation. Which really adds a big difference to the tonal characteristics. I especially liked the additional headroom on the treble side. I eventually sold the bass, however I removed the OBP2 so I could use it in another bass. I haven't used it in a 4-string bass, but I'm sure it'll sound great as well.
