Most of the splash cymbals I've played on or heard other guys play seemed a little dry or weak as to not carry their weight.The Agazarian 10" that I bought has more than enough punch to cut through even the heaviest of "Metal" that I play and when one of my other drummer friends heard mine he was so impressed with it's punch he made a special trip to GC to get one for his kit.So I personally am more than happy with mine and for thirty bucks a piece you buy all three and choose whatever splash sound you need.........
Okay, it's not quite the K you see the famous pros playing, but-- hey it's a splash! You whack'em and choke for a quick, staccato accent. You get a kinda quick demi-crash and then it goes quiet. I usually play my splash behind the snare or hats and I find these for that application, they're more than enough. Chinese bronze is different, more of a crack, glassier,edgier than Zildjians for example. But different isn't necessarily worse. At this price, I don't see how you can go wrong. Buy these and apply to savings to a good ride.
