I play an Ibanez S Series through a Digitech RP355 for most of my stuff. I recently decided it was time for an upgrade in amp, and went to Guitar Center with the intent to purchase a Peavey Vypyr 15 watt. Then I saw this bad boy- a 35 watt amp for 99 bucks. It wasn't a brand I had heard of, but I took the risk and I will never go back to another brand. Before I even got it home I noticed how light it is, which worried me at first, but read on. I got it out of the box, and it's great looking, similar to a Fender amp. Plug it in, and the channels on this thing are superb- the clean is bright and clear, and the dirty can go from a slightly crunchy clean all the way up to something I'd say would work well with any style of rock if it's more than just distortion for the sake of distortion. The EQ is hair trigger perfect, and it even comes with a guide book for tones. This amp makes my guitar sing in a way that I wish I had bought it a year sooner. And this is after only 24 hours of owning it!! I have never felt more justified in spending a hundred bucks than when I got this awesome piece of engineering. The only negatives I have are the chorus/delay/reverb. Cranking the reverb up all the way does about nothing to your tone, so I'm not sure why it's there. As for delay, same thing. I can hear a faint echo but you can't alter the repeats/timing/volume at all, and from what I can tell, chorus is just an on/off bit of noise. But buying an amp for it's effects alone is like buying a Lamborghini for it's shiny rims- stupid. Buy an amp for an amp, effects pedals and rack mounts for effects, right? So, other than the "why did they bother?" feel on the effects and reverb, this is probably the best amp I have seen for the price.

I've been working this amp for a couple of months now with my PRS SE Soapbar. To be fair, the amp seemed ok in the store driven by a Les Paul with humbuckers, but once I got home, I found the amp way too shrill when driven by P-90s and now play with the tone control near zero. You can get a sound very much like an old Vox Superbeatle this way, but I simply want more definition in my overdrive; not the generalized buzz I get out of the dirty channel. If you buy this little box, you need to accept up front that it is a solid state amp with the traditional solid state limitations. The chorus and echo are very good. I use them to set up for Robin Trower covers and, if I work to minimize the atonal buzz, it seems to come closer to Trower's sound than many other set-ups I've tried. My biggest gripe is that there is no provision for a foot switch. There's one tiny square button that you need to push to change channels. That just doesn't work at all for me as I go back and forth a lot. This is a killer omission. Overall, I'm not going to classify this as a "bad" amp. For legions of kids crankin' up their first garage band I'm sure this will work fine. It is very inexpensive and in reading the reviews, a lot of people like the tone. (I'm guessing the bulk of the people who buy this amp don't use P-90s.) However, if you've been playing for a while and know what a top notch amp can do, well, don't expect this thing to be what it isn't. You need to step up and pay if you want top-notch definition. Better to just bite the bullet to begin with.

Great practice amp

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This thing sounds amazing! I was especially impressed with the distortion. Absolutely gorgeous! You can get tones anywhere from Hendrix to AC DC to Metallica or Three Days Grace. The drummer I play with is ridiculously loud, so 35 watts didn't really cut it for me. However, this thing does get quite a bit of power. I totally recommend this thing as just a great all around practice amp!

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I needed something small and lightweight but has good tone and volume. I also wanted something simple to use. I tried a couple of amplifiers that had several preset FXs. For me, these presets made it hard for me to get a clear or clean sound. I play mostly blues, country and rockabilly. I'm also mostly a play at home musician but on occasions I have been asked to bring my guitar over and play some tunes. Bringing my Fender Frontman is a little bulky. The salesman kind of got the idea of what I was looking for and directed me to this amplifier. I loved the simplicity of the controls. The tone was also a big plus. After bringing it home I hooked up my LP to it and after a few adjustments found the tone I was looking for. One thing that I felt was a downside and why I gave it 4 stars is that the delay is only one speed. You can only adjust the depth. The spring reverb though, is just right! For my application, this is perfect. I don't have to see the chiropractor after carrying this to a gig. If a person wants or needs more from an amp he will probably have to spend more money. I cut my teeth on guitar playing through a Sears Silvertone (1960's) and let me tell you, this little amp is all that and a bag of chips in comparison. I am looking forward to entertaining my family this weekend with this amp!

        By DONALD HIGHTOWER

        from Marietta, Ga.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Bought this amp. It sounds ok at a low volume. It lacks in overall volume. It advertises 35watt, but really closer to 10 watts. I compared the volume with other amps I own to judge by. It really shined when I kicked in my Boosta Grande pedal. This redeemed the lack of volume for band practice. My Bluesdriver pedal made rock sounds good through it. The chorus is better than expected as well as the delay. Don't expect this amp to compete with, say, a 15 watt Fender super champ. The Super Champs 15 watts is much louder.

So.. I played this at a GC a little while ago. Its a 35 watt amp but it sounds like 15 or 20. Also the gain is that good. Good enough for classic rock, hard rock, pop punk but not enough for metal. The clean is decent.. Its... an okay amp. Not to bad. Not to good either

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Already had a G20 from Acoustic, theyre affordable if you are on a budget. I bought this G35FX just to level up and practice or garage gigs without having issues with the drummer.
The only reason for not a 5 stars rate is it because I thought will notice a considerable difference between G20 10" speak and G35FX 12", but I didnt.
But in general it's a "It´s OK" combo amp
        Effects:
Chorus it´s acceptable if you are on 80s Glam Rock
        Delay...no... didn´t like

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G35FX 35W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Ordered this a while back and it took over a month to receive it, so it must be pretty popular. For under a hundred bucks this amp has nice cleans that work well with my acoustic or electric guitars. The effects options are limited, but I wanted something more on the clean side. The effects settings don't seem to be very different from low to high knob settings, but again, for the price you can't beat it. This amp is not going to fill a concert hall, but it has enough volume to fill a bar or jam in a small to medium setting. I think this amp is a great value for anyone who wants something to practice with as well as jam with a few friends. It's light and portable as well.

G35FX acoustic amp: someone said in a review no min max level control for effects that was wrong, only for the chorus you turn on chorus and its on, I didn't care about effects anyway so I was suprised to see effects level control. The reverb and delay are level controlled the chorus effect is not. I have an acoustic G120DSP watt duel 12" which I love, it is kind of big and heavy to travel with and for me SUPER LOUD however when turned down it is fine. I wanted something to pick up and go but it had to have a 12" spkr and I already know this is a fantastic amp it has every thing I need at an old school price.mus frnd was sold out when I wanted amp, was hard to find I'm thinking someone with power does not want you to get a good deal. I recomend bring your guitar and try this amp.
