Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I gave my Blackstar id20 to my son with the intent to buy the 40 watt version. I really like how it works with my Digitech RP500 and I am able to get some really nice tones out of that amp. On a whim I bought this G20 at an "open box price" 20 bucks below the already ridiculously low price tag. This is the best bargain on the market. I saw some reviews that complained about the metal tones not being sufficient but if you dime the EQ settings it does sound a bit muddy. However, when I found the manual on line and dialed in the recommended settings, for different genres of music and I found a tight, modern metal tone that was very usable. Excellent for drop tuned distorted tones. The other setting recommendations were excellent, as well.

I primarily use this amp with my RP500 on the Rhythm channel. It works very well with my pedal. This amp is very responsive. You get that snap sensation when playing leads. It is also very loud amp. Much louder than my Blackstar.

When I first bought this amp I considered swapping out he speaker. However, after a week of playing it several hours per day and breaking the speaker in, I don't feel the need to this right now. It is an open back amp so swapping speakers would be very easy to do. One more comment about the volume of this amp. I have a Fender Vibro Champ that is 15 watts. Being a tube amp it is very loud. Louder that any other 20-30 watt solid state amp I've ever owned...except this one.

My guess is that this is of plywood construction fortified with very solid hard rubber and vinyl materials. It's a rugged little beast and for the price you have nothing to lose.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

This little amp is LOUD. I play my Takamine (1982) acoustic through it. I appreciate the Lead channel and the regular rhythm channel. There is a lot of versatility built into a small compartment. The 10" speaker does a great job, and I can practice my Mosrite bass on it too.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

Like one other guy on here I too took this back and exchanged a black star ID core for this amp. It may not have a great sounding OD channel like black star but this amp kills it in tone. The mid shift button is freaking amazing to have when plugging distortion pedals. It acts like like a squeezer and lowers the frequency while boosting tone and sound quality. This amp is crystal clear and loud. Make sure you have a pedal as this does not have any reverb or delay. The acoustic G20 smashes my Orange Crush 20 like it is a toy as well and for the price I would go nab one of these.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

First and foremost, this is NOT a gigging amp, at least not without a mic. Coffee shop gigs would be the limit. What can you expect? A lot more than the price would indicate. It has a nice voice on it's own and really shines with pedals. I use a Zoom G1X and it works well. Given that my guitar is a custom creation with a single P90 it's surprisingly noise free. Clean headroom is more than I expected and the lead channel can easily be set up for that 'on the edge of breakup' tone I crave. Dig in and it gives a nice little growl. EQ is very useable giving it respectable versatility. Over all a good value. If you need a practice amp with enough punch to jam with your friends, you really can't go wrong. Fit and finish is also top notch. Just don't expect effects. Get a processor for that.
I would like to see a foot switch jack for channel switching/mid shift, but the bean counters need jobs too! That's why only 4 stars

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is my second amp but I really don't really count this one because it was a cheap honey tone amp.But let me just say I was not expecting it to be as loud as it was I love it. It has such great quality and can definitely keep up with my drums. Especially because I got it when it was on sale made it an amazing deal. I greatly recommend this amplifier to be bought.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G20 20W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

Saw this on sale at GC for $44.99. Yes... $44.99. I like it because it is a simple amp for practice. I am a beginner and this suits me well. I think the tone is better than the Fender Mustang without all the effects. Sometimes you just want to practice and hear the notes without any effects. Great practice amp.
