I have a new electric guitar after having sold all of my old gear. I needed something to play around with. I'm on a budget, and since the amp I want is nearly $400 with pro coverage, Ill just save some money and wait, but in the mean time, I needed something that would satisfy my needs. I nearly went with a little fender 57 twin mini amp. Its $50 and is dinky, looks higher quality than the others but still. At $60 for this amp I am impressed, the only comparison I have is the fender squire amp I have owned, those were terrible, very very bad buzz. This amp has all the simple stuff plus distortion and it works very well, I love the recommended settings for this amp, there is a slight buzz on this amp but if you turn the volume down a little on your guitar its hardly there, this is a very good amp, I love the clean and bluesy sound you can get out of it, this amp isn't meant really for metal but you can get some decent practice sound for metal out of it, it works, if you have a pedal I'm sure it will do just fine. This thing is loud. Louder than I thought it would be. I don't turn the knob past three at most. The look is basic but it doesn't look cheap, I've never used this brand before but I wanted the most out of my dollar for something to play with till I get the "hot tamale" I have my eye on. Perfect for beginners and practice...I'm impressed and love this thing.

First Amp I ever got. Didn't realize how bad it was until a year later though, when I grew more accustomed to what a good guitar tone sounds like. The Clean channel is actually really good, it's just the Distortion channel that has the problem. At low gain, messing around with the treble, bass, and mid knobs can give give you a decent old-school rock or alt rock tone, but it just isn't built for high gain metal tones. The gain knob is a bit too sensitive. For such a small amp, it can get decently loud, but should only be used for practicing.

Dollar for Dollar the best amp in the world

By Henry king

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp to provide amplification for my effects and pre amp setup... But Wow this this sounds really good on its own. great distortion and just loud enough not to have have the cops called. I would recomend this amp to anyone. Its great for beginers, but also a pro would love to own this amp to take to hotel rooms I mean it is light and easy to travel with.. you could actually fit it in a suitcase with room to spare. It also does not look "cheap" in any way. Great for a practice amp.. travel.. or taking to parties.. I Love it...

Best Practice Amp I've Ever Used

By Michael

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

1x8 Guitar Combo Amp: Ok, I already had the G20 and was amazed at the tone, warmth and volume. I was going to trade in my Marshall Valvestate 12AX7 because I can't turn it up loud enough to overdrive the tubes. I always like to have two amps. Well I made the mistake of trading for a Blackstar Core 10 Modeling Amp. It lasted one night. Very thin and nasally sounding. Ok, the G10 is not as loud as the G20,you could play a small gig with the 20. But it's a great little practice amp. When you turn the midshift button on, it really sounds warm and overdriven. I've played it with both Active EMGs and Passive pickups and it sounds great on both. I've had Blackstar, Marshall, Randall and Fender practice amps and this little Acoustic is just so much better, it's definitely a hidden gem.

What a nice surprise this amp is!

    By Art Teeter

    from Bend, OR

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Just short and sweet, this is a cool litte amp (got it on sale) that has a real nice clean tone and the distortion is pretty good also. This amp sits next to my chair so I can play along with stuff on TV. I have six tube amps sitting in my cave so I know what I am talking about, so if you need a little amp this is it!!!

Great studio amp for the rushed hobbyist

    By Stephen

    from Kansas City, Kansas

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I like solid state amps. They're cheap, light weight, rugged and fast to warm up. I've owned 3 Fender Frontman amps. and this one is better than any of them. The middle boost gives extra color and power to the sound. I don't like or use distortion, but I want to be able to give a little grit to the sound to approximate tubes. I have an acoustic guitar with a sound -hole pickup and when used with this amp I can dial in the Elmore James sound. Like any gear you have to work with the controls to understand how to get the sound you want. I'm retired and I can't afford boutique tube or vintage amps. to get the fifties root sound I crave. This amp. satisfies on a budget.

I bought this as a simple practice amp. The price was excellent. I wasn't expecting the quality that I'm getting out of this little amp. It sounds great. It's easy to use. I love the versatility of sound that it offers. I couldn't be happier with it.

Comments about Acoustic Lead Guitar Series G10 10W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

The name Acoustic brought back a lot of memories. I couldn't believe they had a 10 watt version. The choice of my youthful rock heroes - The Doors and Jefferson Airplane.
The ten watt lived up to its legend - it has a screaming crunch channel and a "scoop" button which scoops the midrange.
It has the classic design and sound of a screaming Acoustic amplifier. It is amazingly versatile for such a small amp - altho small in watts only - it's built for travel and you can dial in the amount of distortion. I think I told people back in the late 60s that when I became financially secure I wanted an Acoustic amp and a Gibson SG in my living room..
