Overview

The 8x10" speaker array is the ultimate bass cabinet configuration, and few 8x10s are more iconic than Acoustic's B810. The distinctive giant blue stripe is a sure sign that you've got a thundering, floor-rattling, earthshaking bass sound. With its power rating of 800W RMS, you know that something intense is about to blast out from behind the B810's grille. Adding an on/off switchable high horn driver, the B810 speaker cabinet roars.

Acoustic has designed the massive B810 cab with easy transportation in mind. In addition to imparting a tight punch to your sound, the sealed cabinet keeps your electronics safe from tough conditions on the road or in rehearsal. The heavy-duty bar handle on top of the angled rear surface—plus oversized nylon casters and a thick steel kick plate—make it simple to grab, push, and roll. Rear skid rails let you use leverage to lean and push it into most vehicles without ever having to lift it. For those who do need to lift it, the B810 bass cab includes spring-loaded handles on the bottom so multiple people can easily grab onto it at once.

The B810 bass cabinet has the distinctive Acoustic look—nickel corners, black cloth grille, and the iconic giant blue stripe—telling the world that you're packing the power of the distinctive Acoustic sound that so many great bassists have called their own.

WOW is all I can say to this amazing cab. I have an acoustic head that's only 200watts and I can hear myself over the whole band at half volume!!!!! It has a really fat rich tone when the basses are at full and there's a great pitch with the highs! Get this I don't care what anyone says. I like this more than my ampeg stv- CL classic head with there cab. Plus this cab works great with all my effects. In the end for the money it's the best buy out there!!!!!!!!

I loved this cabinet...until the wheels fell off. It's made of cheap particle board. So if you tour a lot there is a good chance the wheels will pull off of the cabinet. After the wheels fell out, I tried attaching a board to the bottom of the cabinet and screwing casters into that. But another tour later, the board fell off as well. This cabinet sounds great and looks cool, but if you tour a lot you might want to invest in better made product.

You Won't be Sorry

By Christopher Carpenter

from Austin,TX

I was very hesitant to purchase a cab that had been so drastically reduced in price. I played the cab in store and liked it very much. I even asked the salesman why it was so cheap. After an explanation that Acoustic was discontinuing the model for next year's version,I went ahead with the purchase. I am glad I did. I play loud and obnoxious, with overdrive, this cab delivers on every level for me. The construction is solid, kick plate on the back, and spring loaded handles on the bottom for easy loading and unloading. There are so many players who get caught in brand names, or 'this cost me this much so it must be awesome', all I can say is, this is the best $I have spent in years.

Impressive tone, Fantastic price

By Roland Millington

from Peoria, IL

With a drummer whose monitors are placed directly behind me, and really thump with his kick drum and whose cymbals are amazingly bright, I was in need of a much larger bass cab, but was truly hesitant about diving back into the big rig market. While I love the Ampeg sound (I've gigged a lot with an SVT Classic in the past), I didn't want the "Ampeg sound." My band covers a wide variety of music, and I need a very chameleon-like bass guitar amp. And then there's the weight issue when you go with these. With recent weight loss, this thing literally weighs almost as much as I do. Undaunted by weight, and wanting to hear myself, I tried it in the store, and was pleasantly surprised by its even tone, and it's very smooth low end. I want a cab with a very uncolored sound, and this cab definitely delivered. It's got really good response, and has a plethora of head room. I drive it with a GK Backline 600, and at this weekend's first gig, it did not fail to impress. At the venue, I needed no more volume than 3 O'clock on my head to deliver a sound that blended well with the drummer's kick coming out of his wedge. I did frighten our soundman, who grew up in the era of folded horn 301s killing charging rhinos at 20 paces, but once he saw the 8 10s, he was relieved. My rig, so you can compare to yours, is a Fender MIM Jazz bass, into a Zoom B9.1ut that I use to process all the different amp and cabinet simulations I need, including very effect-heavy bass synth, really brittle grindy distortion as well as warm, slightly overdriven fuzzes, into a GK Backline 600 and into the Acoustic B810. The comparison by ear of the direct line from the Zoom into the PA vs. the sound of the GK and the cab was very close, and it's certainly accurate enough for live music monitoring. Oh, and when asked what our guitar player thought of it, he commented, "Well, I finally heard you, that's for sure." All in all, a great buy. Time will tell if it's as durable as I would hope, but durability is subject to how you care for it, and I take good care of my gear, so hopefully this beast won't disappoint.

Monster!!!!!

By Kari

from St. Louis, MO

I am in a metal band, and this thing gives me what i need. I dial in my bright and punchy tone into my head, and i can trust cab to give me the clear and deep tones i need. i used my same head and same dial in tone on an ampeg cab, and it just wasnt deep enough!!!! It is very loud, and i have no problem keeping up with drums and other guitars. This thing is what i need, and what you do if you play any genre (which i am assuming is mos of you!!)

Amazing...

By Bentley Caughlan

from Springfield, Missouri

I've had this cab a while now and it is awesome. I've been playing for 15 years and play in a popular Alternative Rock band. I went in looking at GK and Ampeg, but when I played the Ampeg 610, GK 810, and this Acoustic 810 side by side with 6 different heads, this was a clear winner. The other 2 were good, the GK had a darker sound and the Ampeg was bright and punchy, but this was a mix of the 2 and with the horn on it gave the bright punch for slapping and popping. I was torn on the head, but I even ended with the Acoustic 600 Watt head. It was close with GK and Markbass. I am loving it, I'm on the road often and this is sooo easily portable, the head is actually more difficult to move! I own an SWR rig, but I needed something bigger and louder and this is certainly both, the sound quality is incredible, it brings out some nice overtones and sounds as good, if not better than the original line before Guitar Center revived the company.

Worth it

By David

from mobile,al

For the money this is the best there is. I've owned different amps and for the money this is the best. I play a 5 string Ibanez and a Washburn with a 300 watt GK head and I haven't had problem. It plays so clear and the horn is nice as well but one of the best things is it essentually has a dolly built in which I can tell you from experience helps when playing shows. As long as you can deal with the fact that its not an Ampeg or something you'll be very happy. My only complaint is the stripes but I fixed that by painting it. What are you waiting for go get one.

Well worth taking the chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Eric "Big E" Curtis

from DFW Texas

I bought this cab, along with a B600H head, and have been blown away ever since! I own an Eden WT800,Time Traveler, with D210XLT, and 810XLT, SWR SM500, son of bertha, and goliath jr, with a Big Ben as well. I have played virtually every product line available over the past 25+ years of playing, and I love this rig. Best warranty you can get, looks great, best of all, sounds even better. I tour with a major country act, and have been using this rig since jan 09, and have many other players from major acts play thru my rig instead their own. I play hard and loud most of the time, and this thing has NOT weakened at ALL!!! Don't waste your money, when you have a choice like this! Weather you use an acoustic head or not, this is a real beast!!!

HOW SWEET IT IS

By Will Mendes

from Kentland, Indiana

I have mine hooked up to a 750 watt Peavey fire series head and I fear no guitar player. My chops come thru crystal clear. My Tobias, MusicMan never sounded better!! The highs are clean and you can feel the lows in your chest. I don't know what that other reviewer meant about the speakers not holding up well. Our original music is a cross between Hendrix and Govt. Mule and my bass MUST cut thru a monster guitarist and one beast of a drummer. Don't assume a high price tag = a better cabinet. I've had Svt's and Hartke's and in my opinion, this is a better cabinet. JACO KNOWS!

Great beginner rig

By Ed

from Sacramento, CA

If you don't have the money for higher end rigs but need tons of volume (more than you'll ever need I'm sure) then this is the one for you. If you can afford it, get a higher end rig as the speakers in this thing do not hold up very well. For the price, there is nothing better and am happy with it, though I do intend on swapping out the speakers for better quality in the future. 4/5
