Combining massive output, advanced tone shaping, and convenient signal controls, the Acoustic B600H is an ideal bass amp head for dominating the stage or crafting your perfect studio tone.
The B600H amp has 2 inputs”one for passive pickups, the other for active”plus input gain and output volume controls. The clip indicator lets you know when your signal is overdriving the preamp, although with the harmonically rich distortion of the B600H's preamp circuit, that just might be what you want. The mute function coupled with the rear-panel tuner send lets you tune silently on stage. Add the 6-band EQ and notch filter into the mix and you've got total tone control. Generate deep, thundering lows, aggressive, punchy mids, or crisp, clean highs; any sound you want is yours to be had.
The rear panel offers an array of possibilities. Multiple speaker outs let you work with many cabinet configurations. The Direct Out with independent level control”which you can send pre- or post-EQ”is perfect for getting a solid DI signal to a console for live sound reinforcement or studio recording. The effects loop with mix control allows you to work with line-level, studio-grade gear for advanced tone shaping. Use the footswitch input to put the control at your feet for the complete bass rig.

Purchased the B600H, the B810 cab. Closest thing to a vintage SVT in tone and power I have seen to date. Sounds much better than the Ampegs' (crates) of today, at half the cost! So far it is the best I have ever seen. Own Eden, SWR, GK, Epifani, and a host of others. This rig can hang with most, and even out performs others! The only downfall noticed has been a scratching\dirty pot noise in the notch filter. By the way,...Best warranty on the market!!!
I ordered the amp over the internet (used some GC coupons) and had it delivered to GC store in Scottsdale. The amp was is very load; I'm using a 2/10's Acoustic Neo speaker~ great set up. As for the amp it is very basic and very easy to use. I wish they gave some more information in the ownerۡs manual about the notch filter. Also another Speakron input would be great, only one. Over all I would buy this amp head again. I love the mute switch it makes things very easy to swap out. In addition the best feature of this amp head is the 3 year warranty policy. Cheers!
I purchased this based on my experience with the Acoustic amps of old. Very comparable to the power of the old 370's. Huge sound, and as loud as my SVT, when run through my SVT cabinet. Great Amp so far with no problems (3 months), with nice responsive eq's with less cliping at high volume than other amps I have used. Small, compact, and relatively light weight. It would be hard to find a better portable amp for the $$, especially with the discounts currently available.
Bought this head along with the B410 and B115 cabinet. First practice, the power light went out on the head. First show, second from the last song, the left bank of speakers on the 410 went out.(only pumping about 1/3 way up). Got the new head and the new 410 cabinet at home, then the 115 cabinet would not produce. So now I have completely replaced all the components on the original purchase (about 2 months now), and have had no problems to date. One thing, the GC I bought them at did straight exchanges with absolutely no hassle at all so there's the one important bright spot that makes me give 'em 1 more star than I would normally.
Well for starters I was shocked to see that this only received 4/5 stars. This is ludicrous. Definitely one of the best heads out there on the market w/o a doubt! If you're playing midsize to larger venues, this is all you need, just make sure to buy two of the acoustic cabs or w/e cabs you're using so that you can max out the 600w w/o having to worry about blowing any cabs (not that you'll even have to use all 600w!) But if you're a serious gigging player, you'll want the 6 band EQ this head has got. I can get any sound out of it I want, you just have to know your way around the EQ's (ie. Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, Chris Wolstenholme, etc.) The natural distortion is beautiful. The cabs I use it with are the b410 and the b115neo, and it has a monster sound. Lots of punch and total control of your sound. And for the prices, it's a steal! Now, I've heard many stories about there being issues, in terms of manufacturer defects and what not. Now I can only speak for myself, but I have had zero problems, and I can just tell that it's a reliable unit. I'm telling you, this is worth your investment. Buy the protection plan for it, and you're golden. I did because I heard there were many problems with it. I don't expect to have any, but if I do, atleast I know I'm covered. This is a steal! Buy It!
I've had mine for 2 years now playing on a weekly basis just using an Acoustic 4x10 cab. It can easily hang with 2 guitar players. Many nights it has served as the house amp for all the other bands and I've watched the red clip light pretty much stay lit because of someone using too much pedal gain without turning down the amp's gain. I thought it would fry my amp but it has always worked perfectly afterwards with ZERO PROBLEMS! I use a Boss ODB pedal in front on a low gain setting to get my desired "dirt" but for many others this amp has good gain. I play finger picking death metal myself but it works well for other styles. Its a touch heavy but it is also housed in a sturdy box. Some people say its spendy but compared to everything else in its class its really not.
