Overview

The Acoustic B100 combo is designed for club and live applications where the sound of its 15" bass driver will fill the room with warmth and punch. It pumps 100 watts RMS into the internal speaker, delivering the classic Acoustic pro's tone in a portable, powerful design.

The 2 bass inputs are designed to accommodate both active and passive bass instruments while the Gain and Volume controls give you complete authority over the character of your tone. Increase the Gain for some old-school rock tones or lower it and turn up the volume for great, clean classic or funk tones. The preamp includes a very natural and tube-like compression as well as a harmonically rich distortion circuit, which keeps your tone musical—even at high volume levels.

The B100 also includes a notch filter to tailor your mids and a 4-band EQ that provides total control over your tone. The parallel Effects Loop allows you to use your bass effects in the signal chain, or you can use the Effect Send as a Line Out to a recording or live mixing board. The series extension speaker jack provides an output for an additional cabinet such as the Acoustic B115 or B410.

The heritage of Acoustic comes through loud and clear in the B100.

I was looking for a bass combo amp with a 15" speaker and NO horn or tweeter. I never liked the annoying "hiss" that comes from most horns and tweeters. This bass amp sounds so good! It is very clear, loud and punchy, and the tone controls really provide a wide range of possibilities...although I prefer to keep the EQ flat. I have no problem cutting through the mix even with a hard-hitting drummer and a guitarist who plays through a classic Marshall tube amp and 4x12 cab. I really love the gain control. It provides a classic smooth overdrive that's just dirty enough for the gritty rock band I'm in. I highly recommend this amp!

This is a very loud amp, loud enough to be used with a drumset. It has alot of rumble but if your playing a 5 string that B is gonna fall off with sound, and the highs are a little dull. If you wanna just make some noise for thrash type music I reccomend it.

Worth Every Penny

By Christian DeBarge

from Los Angeles, CA

I got this off of a price match for $179.99 but I would easily pay the full price for this beauty. I love the classic look it has but more importantly the sound is great! With the EQ you have a variety of options to really hone in your tone allowing you to play a wide range of styles. I personally enjoy using it to get a delightful funk tone though you can easily use it play something more hard. I was at first skeptical of the brand as a beginner seeing the "acoustic" name on it but I was pleasantly surprised when I could clearly hear the notes my Fender Jazz bass played. I definitely recommend buying this amp though it's size and shape make it a bit awkward to carry around with you if you're going to be moving it a lot.

Incredible Bass Amp and an Unbelievable Price

By Bailey Lanzilotta

from Boston, Massachusetts

I absolutely love this bass amp. I got it one year ago as an amp to go along with my first real bass. This amp has been through hell and back and still looks and sound as good as it did on the showroom floor. I have done regular touring with my school band all year and put this thing through hell and it still makes me smile the minute I plug it in. The punch and thump you can get out of the bottom end is great for any genre. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the lucid highs you get out of this thing make it an excellent amp for slap funk stuff. The thing is clearly build like a tank, plus it comes with a really cool blue LED. Weight is never really an issue with this amp. My only quirk is that some wheels on the bottom would have made this thing much mor transportable. All in all a great amp.

Here is what I dont like...

By Paul Weakland

from Atwater

This amp is really great, I love almost everything about I think it would be most beneficial for me to let you know what I don't like. Its too heavy and big to just have the one handle in the top. Its just awkward to carry. Sometimes the high notes are hard to hear, and it could use a horn or a tweeter to help it out. But i'm just being nit-picky It really sounds great. Its definitely loud enough to play with drums no problem. You might want to mic it or put it through the PA for outdoor gigs, but you would probably do that anyway. Ps. I saw Flea is now using the Acoustic B series amp, just saying.

Solid amp

By JAMES SPENCER

from Germantown, MD

Used Acoustic amps for years and now that I'm back to playing Bass I got this model again. No, it's not the biggest but it is plenty loud for the venues I play in. The extension cabinet out put is great if I need to add some more but I rarely do. For those who said that there is no direct out remember you can use the Effect Send as a Line Out to a recording or live mixing board. Not fancy but very solid amp. I can always add on external effects.

skeptical

By Johnie Adams

from Palestine, Texas

I was skeptical when I ordered this amp because I'm 51 years old and have never heard of Acoustic Brand Amps. All of the reviews were good but I had never even seen one in a store that I remembered. After taking it out of the box I plugged it in. I thought there was something wrong with it because when I turned it on there was no hiss or humm. I turned the gain and volume up all the way and finally heard a little something so I turned it down and plugged in My Bass. Its a neck through Nathan East Yamaha great little bass. This is by far the cleanest sounding bass amp I have ever heard. No rattles, no buzzing, just clean Deeeeeep Bass sounds. And soooo many different sounds that I can get out of it with the notch and the 4 band EQ. I can deffinatly say that if I would have played one in a store I would have been happy to pay more for it. I got a great black friday deal on an amp that is worth 3 times what I paid. Thank You so much Guitar Center for the Deal and Thank You Acoustic for the Great sounding amp. I am very pleased.

Best in its class of the 100 watt bass amps

By James Wilson

from Wilmington, Delaware

First off the tone is very versitile, you can get lots of sounds out of it, its very loud, it also can go full blast without distorting and signals breaking up, it has a very solid construction, its a little on the heavey side which I personally like in a bass amp, its great for everything from practice to gigs, it is very reliable and could be used to gig with no problems. I love this amp

A Serious Bass Amp

By Steve N

from Northern Virginia

Very pleased with this amp. Responds well to the room its in shy of an arena or outside. Even then it helps. The "dust" cover is really a bump, scrape and rub protector--really a protective skin and I strongly recommend it. The amp is heavy to lug around so I got a collapsible hand truck saving me much effort. This package will meet my needs for years.

excellent for the price

By Pete Doriot

from Elizabethton, TN

I went to the GC looking for a inexpensive practice amp that would also allow for some small gigs. I had a budget of around $400 and was considering a Behringer or maybe a Fender. This amp was priced at $250 and had a 15" spkr that I wanted. I played several in the store and really liked the sound and flexibility this amp gave. For an entry level price this is a lot of amp.
