Overview

The Acoustic B100 combo is designed for club and live applications where the sound of its 15" bass driver will fill the room with warmth and punch. It pumps 100 watts RMS into the internal speaker, delivering the classic Acoustic pro's tone in a portable, powerful design.

The 2 bass inputs are designed to accommodate both active and passive bass instruments while the Gain and Volume controls give you complete authority over the character of your tone. Increase the Gain for some old-school rock tones or lower it and turn up the volume for great, clean classic or funk tones. The preamp includes a very natural and tube-like compression as well as a harmonically rich distortion circuit, which keeps your tone musical”even at high volume levels.

The B100 also includes a notch filter to tailor your mids and a 4-band EQ that provides total control over your tone. The parallel Effects Loop allows you to use your bass effects in the signal chain, or you can use the Effect Send as a Line Out to a recording or live mixing board. The series extension speaker jack provides an output for an additional cabinet such as the Acoustic B115 or B410.

The heritage of Acoustic comes through loud and clear in the B100.

I was looking for a bass combo amp with a 15" speaker and NO horn or tweeter. I never liked the annoying "hiss" that comes from most horns and tweeters. This bass amp sounds so good! It is very clear, loud and punchy, and the tone controls really provide a wide range of possibilities...although I prefer to keep the EQ flat. I have no problem cutting through the mix even with a hard-hitting drummer and a guitarist who plays through a classic Marshall tube amp and 4x12 cab. I really love the gain control. It provides a classic smooth overdrive that's just dirty enough for the gritty rock band I'm in. I highly recommend this amp!

Legendary Amp

By Crazy bass man

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

Stunning. As a bassist I have always looked for quality equipment, and acoustic amplification has done it again. This amp, which I predominately use for recording, and small live application, certainly stands up to it's description with a classic acoustic tone and warmth. It's easy to see why John Paul Jones and Jaco pastorius put their faith into these amps. I would reccomend this amp to a bassist of any level looking to improve their sound and all round playibility, and for a great price at guitar center. No downsides at all, a simply must have!

Fantastic Amp

By Serious Jayman

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

I got this B100 amp just a few weeks ago and I am most impressed. I am playing a Shecter 5 string through the amp and I have no problem with cut out or frequency loss, even with Low B. The amp is heavy but not unbearable to move around. The sounds is a nice clean bass sound that I love to hear and can be fine tuned using the built in EQ. I truly beleive this is a fantastic amp with a very good price.

Nice Powerfull Amp!!

By Paul

from Detroit, Michigan

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

The Acoustic B100 is a very nice combo. I love that deep bass sound and this baby kicks it out smoothe, rich, and clear. I only have to play it at a quarter power to play with my guitar player and still be plenty loud, but even when turned up to 8 it sounds amazing. I mean sure you could play it all the way to 10 but nothing really sounds that good when all the watts are trying to explode out of one speaker. It has an output which will allow you to plug it into a PA system and get some serious power. The EQ on it is really nice it has a lot of versatility for the sound that is trying to be made. It's a combo, but yet it has the features that you'd find on a head which equals awsome and economically a smart buy. I love my acoustic especially with my zoom b2 pedal and with all the crazy effects that I make the B100 handles them all very well. I play it with an Ibanez gsr and its amazing and it keeps up with the fast playing. A must buy.

Amazing clear & powerful amp

By Andrew Barnsdale

from Berkeley CA

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

This is a fantastic amp. Clear and transparent, powerful and musical-sounding. I play a fretless Jazz bass through the B100 and it sounds wonderful! Yes, it's loud -- shakes everything real good -- but more important is it has a very musical quality: it's clear and deep; it will let your natural bass come through loud and clear. I wanted a clean, simple, transparent sound for my smooth, warm, deep and well-rounded bass and that's exactly what I got, at a great price. This amp is a no-fuss, get it done piece of equipment. The EQ section is very effective and really changes the color of the tone. If you want Mud and Clank, look elsewhere. If you want your sweet wood to come through, this amp is for you.

Amazing!!!

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

I bought this amp about 3 weeks ago and Im still amazed every time i strum a note. I had a fender rumble series 60 watt amp, it doesnt even compare to what this thing sounds like. The red clip light is very useful so i dont have to worry about blowing the amp. I play small gigs and this is perfect i dont have to blast it either to be level with my drummer. Dont hesitate to buy this amp the price is amazing and cant be beat for the quality.

Five Star Bass Amp

By Rachel

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

This thing is sick. I mean, it's just a beast. It's about 2 1/2 ft tall and can get VERY loud. I bought mine recently when it went on sale and ended up saving 20 bucks 'cause I bought the floor model. And it was totally worth the money. It's a good practice amp even for it's size and if you can carry it, would make a great performance amp at medium-size venues. It even comes with an automatic three year manufacturer's warranty. It'll be a long time before I have to buy another amp.

Great amp

By Joe

from Maryland

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

I bought this amp a little less than a year ago. It's just awesome. The sound quality for such a cheap amp is just amazing. I've played similar 100 watt amps from brands like peavey and fender, and they just don't have the awesome smooth sound this amp has. The only problem I had with it was that it's too bulky. It's not that heavy, just awkward to carry. So I screwed some wheels on it and it made it so much easier. Overall this is a great amp and you're not going to get anything better for the price.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

He was the original bassist for Lynyrd Skynryrd by the way. I have this amp nd have gigged with it in a skating rink with my punk 4 peice im in. i didnt even turn up the gain to half way and the volume was at half, i kept up with my 2 guitarists and drummer! but thats not saying much. what counts is if it doesnt sound like an overdriven practice amp. this amp didnt its totally a peice of equipment that high quality. i can get it soundin like leon wilkeson with my jazz bass. the other guitarist i play with says it sounds beautiful when we play blues. buy it, it is a sweet sounder.

Great Buy

By Isak

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

I had my doubts about this amp when I forst saw it. I was thinking that it wasn't going to be loud enough over my drummer and guitarist. But when I plugged it in, my opinion changed completely. It was more than enough for practice and the amp held it's own at gigs. For the price, this amp is phenomienal. If you buy this, you won't be disappointed

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

Needed a combo amp for current gig. Didn't expect much for the price. Plugged in an Eppy T-Bird in the store. Volume not even half and I knocked my wife back about 3 feet! It can do it all, from crisp funk tone to low bottom blues. WOOF! It's a keeper...

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

this is a great amp for the most part. i would recommend getting a amp cable that is designed for bass because when i used this amp with guitar cables it would pick up random AM radio stations and it really got annoying. overall it has an amazing tone for pretty much any style. i would recommend it.

small/med venues+practice

By bassxchill

from elizabeth nj

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

I got to "test play" this amp for a good two weeks, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. 4 Band graphic eq and the frequency knob gives a pretty high control over the color and feel of your sound. and as most of you probably want to hear, this thing has a kick and ALOT of volume! especially when paired up with my b410. BUT I don't feel like it would get by at large venues, so I switched up for the b200 amp with the xlr out feature and 6 band eq.

Comments about Acoustic B100 100W 1x15 Bass Combo:

This combo amp is defiantly the ticket to getting you started in a band. I use it for my metal band and it out powers both of my guitarist to the point where its just like, "turn it down bud". Great tone control, very loud, very mobile, and very affordable. Worth the Buck$
