Availability:

These perfectly paired monsters will rattle the walls of any venue.

Combining massive output, advanced tone shaping, and convenient signal controls, the B600H is an ideal bass amp head for dominating the stage or crafting the perfect studio tone. The iconic Acoustic B810 cabinet is a thundering 8 x 10" beast that makes the perfect partner for the B600H's output. The B600H has two inputs: one for passive and one for active pickups, plus input gain and output volume controls. The clip indicator lets you know when your signal is overdriving the preamp, although with the harmonically rich distortion of the B600H's preamp circuit, you might want it to overdrive! The mute function coupled with the rear panel tuner send lets you tune silently on stage. Add the 6-band EQ and notch filter into the mix, and you've got total tone control. Generate deep, thundering lows, aggressive, punchy mids, or crisp, clean highs—any sound you want is yours to be had.The rear panel offers an array of possibilities. Multiple speaker outs let you work with many cabinet configurations. The direct out with independent level control—which you can send pre or post EQ—is perfect for getting a solid DI signal to a console for live sound reinforcement or studio recording. Theeffects loop with mix control allows you work with line level, studio-grade gear for advanced tone shaping. Use the footswitch input to put the control at your feet for the complete bass rig.The 8x10" speaker array is the ultimate bass cabinet configuration, complete with an on/off switchable high horn driver for powerful tone across the sonic spectrum.Acoustic has designed the massive B810 cabinet with features for making transportation easy. In addition to imparting a tight punch to your sound, the sealed cabinet keeps your electronics safe from tough conditions on the road or in rehearsal. The heavy-duty bar handle on top of the angled rear surface, plus oversized nylon casters and a thick steel kick plate, make it simple to grab, push in, and roll. Rear skid rails let you use leverage to lean and push it into most vehicles without ever having to lift it. And if you do need to lift it, it's got spring-loaded handles on the bottom. The classic Acoustic look remains: nickel corners, black cloth grille, and the iconic giant blue stripe join you to a tradition of great bass players who have helped to create the Acoustic legacy.

  • Great Budget Option

As reviewed by Scotty R. on 2/12/2011

Most musicians are always looking for the best quality at the best value. This 600W solid state head and 8x10 fridge fall right into that category. Is it an Ampeg? No. Does it sound like an Ampeg? No, but it will get you in the ballpark. And, at half the cost of the Ampeg equivalent, the ballpark is good enough for most players. I would recommend using a SansAmp 3 Ch. bass driver DI. It will shape your tone quite a lot, and with the 3 channels you either shape the tone of 1 bass 3 ways, or dial in 3 basses different tones or any combination. The horn on the 8x10 cab seems to be more for show than actually having a tonal difference. I A/B'd with it for about an hour trying to get it to do something, but it was with no luck, but the 8 - 10" speakers really punch regardless. I also like the recessed handles, and hinged bottom handles on the cab. It makes moving this behemoth much more manageable The EQ controls are quite touchy, so a good session with just them is required to really dial in your bass. The head has all the features you'd expect from a modern bass amp: tuner out, DI, independent DI volume. I give it 4 stars for this reason, It has only 3 stars of features and tone, but 5 stars of Value. Overall a a great budget buy.

  • Acoustic Big Rig is Back!

As reviewed by Tom. on 9/29/2009

Being a professional working bassist of 30 years, I've played just about every market and boutique amplifier out there. My longest stays were with Peavey then Ampeg as they had the tone I was looking for. But I did start out on an Acoustic 360 and have always wanted that amp back. Well, it's back and better than ever. I bought 2 of these stacks and I'll never buy another. Best tone I've ever had! Get one you won't regret it!

  • Support Your Local Constable...

As reviewed by L on 9/18/2009

For just about a grand, you get thunder AND lightning. A brief turn of the knob, and the venue...is all yours. This monolith of Solid State prowess got me a free introduction to my local Constable one afternoon due to the volume. You will not be disappointed. Oh, and the Guitar Center in Clear Lake, Texas even cut some of the price due to a few knicks in the Tolex. THAT is great service. One...little...complaint: no headphone jack. I wonder why Acoustic designed it that way...?
