Product Information

A seriously powerful amp for serious bassists.

The Acoustic B200H professional head is designed for large club and live applications where it will fill any stage with depth and definition. Used in conjunction with the B115 and/or B410 enclosures, the B200H will easily drive either one or two cabinets in any combination of your choice.

The two bass inputs are designed to accommodate both active and passive bass instruments while the Gain and Volume controls give you complete control over the character of your tone. Increase the gain for some old school rock tones, or lower it and turn up the volume for great clean, classic or funk tones. The preamp includes a very natural and tube-like compression as well as a harmonically rich distortion circuit, which keeps your tone musical — even at high volume levels. The B200H also includes a notch filter to tailor your mids, and a six-band EQ for exact control over every nuance of your bass's tone.

Rear panel features include a parallel Effects Loop, and XLR balanced Line Out with Level Control and Ground Lift. The two speaker output jacks allow you to directly connect to each enclosure (such as the B115 and/or B410) to maximize your tone and power.

The heritage of Acoustic comes through loud and clear in the B200H — a seriously professional stage head for serious bassists.

NEW REVIEW - This head rules!!!

I bought this head @ Guitar Center Las Vegas last July. I run this head with a classic 2x15 Peavey cab and this head rocks. I play an Ibanez Ice Man with active pickups and get big bottom end and crisp highs. The boys in the band love the head and is also very easy to operate. Buy it! you won't be dissapointed. It looks classic too. I love it and recommend it.

Impressive

I got this head a couple months ago and I have to say this blew me away. It has a rich thumping sound and for only 200w keeps up plenty with the rest of my group just going through my acoustic cab.

Outstanding Equipment!

I just bought this head with an Acoustic B115 cabinet (1x15"). It is awesome for a first-timer, and probably for more experienced bassists as well. I've read reviews that say the mids and, to a lesser extent, trebles do not come through on this amp. This is not the case at all! Everything comes through clean and crisp. With gain at half and the master volume all the way up you'll knock down walls. The instruction manual also comes with several 'standard' EQ settings for different styles of play, which comes in handy for the first-time bassist. Finally, it's got an XLR Direct Out w/ volume control so you can plug into an installed sound system with ease. The EQ is pre-XLR, so you can still get 'your sound' when plugged in. Overall, outstanding equipment. Buy it today!

VERY GOOD BUT...

I bought this amp and paired it up with the b115 cab. It wasn't extremely loud, but it played nice. The one thing I didn't like was that is got a little bit of distortion when you turned it up, and turned up the mids and the treble. Still plays great though.

Jaw dropped

I have been playing bass for 30yrs had the ampegs peavys the fenders but this bass head is the thing that i have been looking for i have it paired to a 15 and a horn in a dj cabinet and playing my dean semi hollow fretless bass with the simplicity of all the controls is truly a remarkable work of perfection.I got mine 4-16-09. BASS IS SO DEEP YOU COULD DROWN.
