      Acoustic B200 200W 1x15 Bass Combo (482902)
Availability:

A seriously powerful amp for serious bassists.

The Acoustic B200 professional combo is designed for large club and live applications where the sound of its 15" bass driver and horn will fill the stage with warmth and punch. That's because it pounds a massive 200 watts RMS into the internal 15" speaker, delivering the classic Acoustic pro's tone in a portable, professional design.

The two bass inputs are designed to accommodate both active and passive bass instruments while the Gain and Volume controls give you complete control over the character of your tone. Increase the gain for some old school rock tones, or lower it and turn up the volume for great clean, classic or funk tones. The preamp includes a very natural and tube-like compression as well as a harmonically rich distortion circuit, which keeps your tone musical--even at high volume levels. The B200 also includes a frequency sweepable -10dB notch filter to tailor your mids, and a six-band EQ for exact control over every nuance of your bass's tone.

Rear panel features include a parallel effects loop, tweeter on/off switch, and XLR balanced Line Out with Level Control and Ground Lift. The series extension speaker jack provides an output for an additional cabinet such as the Acoustic B115 or B410.

The heritage of Acoustic comes through loud and clear in the B200--a seriously professional amp for serious bassists.

  • Amazing amp at a low price

As reviewed by Zac on 7/1/2009

I've been looking for a good amp at a fair price, something I could use for both practice and shows. I bought this yesterday and I'm completely sold on it. The sound is clear, even when I cranked it up and the 6 EQ settings make it easy to perfect your sound. Also, for people who might be just beginning to play or don't know what sound they like, the manual gives you a few EQ setting ideas to play around with. I bought the casters to go with it, but you really don't need them. They make moving across a stage easier, but the amp is actually not that heavy. And it has additional outputs leaving you room for expansion. Overall, the Acoustic B200 is a compact amp that packs a punch and won't kill you're wallet. A definate recommended buy.

  • I was suprised!

As reviewed by Los on 11/7/2008

I love this this amp! When I heard it I had to have it. The best part is being able to really dig in to the EQ and get the sound you really want, and you can't beat the price. The other great thing is it has a direct out so you can expand if you need to. I play it (volume) at about 12 o'clock it blows me away. I recommend this Amp. Try it. I think you'll love it too.

  • Careful with the knobs

As reviewed by Kevin on 3/16/2010

In addition to my review of last August, I'd suggest you watch the silver caps on the knobs. Gigged it for the first time last week. When I got it in the club I noticed one of the caps was missing. Luckily I found it in the parking lot and nobody ran over it. Before we started playing, I pulled on all of them as a pre-emptive measure and three more came off in my hand. When I got it home, a little nudge with small screwdriver popped three more off. A total of seven of nine came off with minimal trouble. I used some gel super glue to reattach them. The last two are fine for now, but I'll try a little harder to pop them off and reglue them. Another bone is that they give you caster sockets, but you can't buy just the casters. I had to buy the full set, so now I have four unused sockets with screws. Kind of a waste. Oh, and it filled the small club just fine. Add an extension 2x10 and it's all I need for now.
