NEW REVIEW - Small Package, Big Performance!

Like the last review I too needed a practice amp to learn on. After reading all the user reviews (the only ones that matter) on all amps in the price range I was ready. I went in 2-weeks with a budget before my purchase not expecting too much. Boy was I pleasantly surprised when I tried this puppy out! I tried it with an Am. P-Bass (my model) and it played pretty well. The versatility of the high, low, and mid are good. The input is handy for playing along. The headphone jack is good for not waking the neighors during late night practices. The sound is robust enough for 10W at low to moderate volume but expect some distortion at higher volume levels. It would be best to adjust the controls with a good pair of headphones for good measure. Now of course its no pro-level setup but for the money this practice amp cannot be beat!

NEW REVIEW - great amp

i got this as a first amp when i first started to play. This amp is very nice. I can go from a low muddy heavy metal sound to a crisp and clean sound. this amp is only a ten watt but it is loud. I can hear myself over the whole band and they use 20 watts. They have to tell me to turn it down. And when i play guitar i can hear the bass clearly. i use a squier p bass with humbuckers for the neck and single coil for the bridge. i use both pick-ups and through this amp it sounds amazing. and the cd jack helps me with my timing on songs. the only problem for this amp is that when the amp volume is all the way up and the low is as well, the sound gets alittle to muddy. But after that there is nothing wrong with this amp. I use it to practice and if used it for gigs at my friends resturant. its just an amazing amp.

NEW REVIEW - Don't let that 10W tag fool you

I came in to the store wanting to buy a peavey MAX 158 bass amp, because of its cheaper price tag. However, one of the staff suggested me to spend an extra 20 bucks for this amp, and I have not looked back since. The sound quality of this amp blowed me away. As soon as buying this amp, I went for a quick jamming session with a couple of friends and the sound of my bass could clearly be heard, and the best part: the volume knob was only turned halfway. AWESOME. Definitely a must buy for you beginner's out there looking to buy your first bass and amp.

great first amp

I bought this amp for my little brother last christmas after he picked up a warlock bass from a friend. Ive been happy with my b410 and b200 from acoustic, so I went with this amp for him. After hearing him and playing on it myself while giving some lessons, I ended up going buying myself one also. Its a great amp for when you dont feel like tearing the house down, or if your just beginning. I would definitelly reccomend this. And for the price you cant beat it.

Great Combo Amp!

I bought this combo amp about 6 months ago when I initially started playing bass. It seems much louder then 10W and has a suprising tone range for the limited EQ. Small and light enough to take almost anywhere and durable enough to survive a tumble. The headphone jack allows for silent practice at night or in apartments etc. I've played on it for almost 7 months and it still sounds as good as the day I got it. Awesome price too. Definatley get it if you are a beginner or looking to play solo. Not good for anyone wanting to play with a drummer, the drums will drown out the bass. Other then that I love it!
