I am buying this amp.

Just over a year ago, I bought the B200. I cut it against an Ampeg of similar size, and the Acoustic won hands down, for about half the money. About four months ago, I added a B410. I was already happy with the B200, but I wanted more definition in the high end, and I got it in spades, again for about half of what I would pay for the Ampeg 4x10. I stopped into the Guitar Center about a week ago to redeem a Christmas gift cert. and saw this B260. I had heard about it but was skeptical. How could you push 100 watts through a ten inch speaker and expect anything more that cabinet rattle? I don't know why I was suprised at the quality of this small rig, but I can say it was way more than I expected, once again, at about half of what Ampeg was getting for it's mini. I use my B200 and B410 for both practice and playing out, so I really don't need this B260, but I am buying it today and packing up the B200 and B410 for playing out only. I will never need a bigger amp than the B260 for rehearsals. Acoustic quality truly runs throughout the brand, from the smallest to the biggest. If you want something to disturb the neighbors, this B260 will have the constables knocking at the door, and if any of them know anything about music, they will be complimenting the sound quality of this amp.

Smoking Bass Amp

I have been a bass player for 40 years so I've had my share of amps to play through. It out sounds many others in higher price range. Each note comes out distinct sounding, clear, and with excellent punch. Has enough power 100W RMS to cover many playing situations. Wide and very good tonal variety for three band eq. I like the wheels on the bottom. If you're looking for something in this range of power and price, it will do and be worth the purchase.

Worth the $$$...and then some!!!

Definately amazed at the sound quality and power of such a compact mini stack. I have not passed the 4 notch (there are 14) on the volume control and I had the walls rattling. Sound was clear and defined from low to high end with very minimal distortion when exerted. Acoustic has once again proved that great quality can be delivered at a great price.

Big sound /small package

I just bought this amp. It sounds alot bigger then it is!! The controls are simple to operate for this oldtimer. This amp really has some bottom. I've played my Fender"Victor B" acoustic/electric thru it and it sounds great.I have'nt run my 65' P bass thru it yet but I'm sure it will sound outstanding. It has separate Passive and Active inputs which is a nice feature. I tried most of the other amps in this class in-store and this one had the best sound hands down. It's a great buy.

My low end alternative

I'm a guitarist who likes to carry less gear as possible.Instead of lugging a 4x12 enclosure,I run this rig to expand my bass end with my Raven RG60 combo. You see,I use a Boss ME-70 that I wanted to run in stereo. The left out runs to the Raven RG60,the right out runs to the Acoustic 260.Man,what a difference!! I mostly play small clubs,it's not a normal set up,but it does exactly what I need and my Boss ME-70 has a clean signal on both amps.Try it!!
