The ART USBDualTubePre is a compact, dual-channel tube preamp designed for any basic recording system. Capable of operating as a standalone unit with USB audio interface, or as an expander for any digital system with S/PDIF digital input, each channel in the USBDualTubePre delivers superior tube tone in a fully featured input strip.
Each input of the USBDualTubePre has independent input gain control and output level, phase inversion, low frequency roll-off, true 48V phantom power, and a user-defeatable optocompressor circuit—capable of ensuring superior dynamic control of any input source.
For monitoring, an 1/8" mini headphone jack with level and monitor mix controls allow latency-free monitoring of the inputs while recording, as well as playback monitoring of audio mix via USB bus. The monitor mix is also routed to 1/4" TRS (balanced) outputs with separate level control for control room monitor source.
The USB interface is fully USB compliant. No special drivers are needed.

one of the workers at guitar center told me my vocals would sound great on this and he was not lying i jus got this today and its more than an awesome christmas gift
My sterling audio preamp started giving me a humming noise after 6yrs so i went and got one of these bad boy's. And let me tell ya, this with the mogami wires are "AWSOME". Before it sounded like you were far away or it wasn't as warm as i thought it use to be. But now it's just amazingly crystal clear with good, clean, extrodinary vocals. I was skeptical at first but the guy at GC told me the usb will sound better and have better quality then having a bunch of adapters to get it to fit my computer. This is by far the best upgrade i had done to my studio so far!
I had an audiogram 3, and needed a tube preamp to warm up my MXL 67g mic, so I purchased a Presonus tube pre. Since this was my first time purchasing any kind of tube item for my, I was satisfied with it, but when I purchased this product, I was blown away. It warmed up my vocals sooo much better than the presonus, and eliminated the need to have the audiogram and the presonus since the ART has both of my needs in one device with more features and gives a better sound quality. I dont know how it compares to higher dollar preamps/interfaces, but it's more than enough for what i need it to do.
