Aquila's Nylgut Low G Soprano Ukulele strings are comprised of a synthetic plastic compound that stays in tune with accurate fret intonation. With a density similar to pure gut, Nylgut produces a natural sound and is stable under moisture changes. Designed for Low G tuning.
The development of a new synthetic material that can imitate the acoustical characteristics of gut, but without the typical defects such as high cost, short string life, and severe instability to changes of climate, has always been a fundamental goal of Aquila's research.
