Brilliantly amazingly awesome for 150 bucks

Comments about AKG P220 Project Studio Condenser Microphone:

I have recently begun my journey to become a vocalist, and I hated using a cheapy usb mic and a cheap old dynamic Shure that I got from school(already beat up) And I went in to look around, saw many demos of this mic, and I was impressed for the sound quality and the price. I got a Focusrite 6i6 interface, and it works amazingly with this mic! When ever I record vocals with this and my ATH m50x, it is so amazingly clear that I almost feel like the mic isnt working because it is that clear. Of course buying higher end mics later will make a difference, but for me beginning and using this mic, I am impressed. Recommended for any beginners of Vocals. It is also amazing for commentary and instruments. And this comes with a great shock mount and a great case as well!! So now you can protect this baby for a good long while!

Comments about AKG P220 Project Studio Condenser Microphone:

I bought this needing a versatile microphone I could use in my studio but could also have a home on stage in my live productions, and I do believe I've found it. In the studio it does well as an all around mic that I've used in multiple situations including guitars, drums, and a small amount with vocals and wasn't disappointed. On my stage I primarily just use it as a kick mic, and without even having my gate and eq dialed in, I'm always pleased with the accurate sound I can get with this mic, which makes dialing in my gate and eq fun and easy. In my opinion, for the price and quality, this mic will always have a home in my mic locker.

Comments about AKG P220 Project Studio Condenser Microphone:

This was my choice after using MXL for several years now. I have 6 MXL mics and though they work well, I was looking for a more crisp, clean sound. Holy Mackeral!!!! This was absolutely the best money so far that I've spent. I am running this with a Zoom R24 mixer into the pc with CubaseSX. The response from this mic is awesome. Highs are awesome and the switches on the mic make it very easy to adjust to the sound you are looking for. Great mic for the money!!! Don't hesitate to get this one....you'll love it!!!

With limited knowledge about mics, I got on my phone at the pawn shop looking at reviews about the AKG. Good reviews across the board lead me to purchase the Perception 200. It has been old faithful for me despite a shortege were the male cord hooks up. Hey thats why it was in the pawn shop right? As long as it is stablized it works great despite the shortege. This mic garnishes crystal clear vocals and the low cut feature is awsome.

This is my 2nd condenser mic and I am glad I got it. More sensitive than the AT2020, but overall tone is similar. Bass roll off and 20dB cut is a nice addition. Shock mount and case make this a very nice set to own.
