CONSUMER ALERT

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCCs wireless microphone website at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

Go wireless without sacrificing your sound!

The AKG WMS 450 Wireless Guitar Set includes the PT 450 bodypack tranmitter, SR 450 receiver, MKG L instrument cable, belt clip, AA size battery, 2 antennas, rack mounting kit, and power supply. The AKG WMS 450 is your best choice for any application calling for a solution that is more flexible than a simple plug-and-play system yet easy to set up and operate. The WMS 450 provides a cost-efficient, high-performance solution for situations where several radio mics will be used simultaneously, including gigs at small clubs, small stages, or regional events. Using several single-channel systems has its limitations and may simply be too much for the available radio band. PT 450 bodypack transmitter< BR/> The PT 450 is a high-performance, compact bodypack transmitter for a host of applications. Many innovative features enhance both system reliability and user friendliness. An LC display indicates all important system data at a glance, including the selected frequency in MHz or as a Preset subchannel, available battery capacity in hours, a warning when battery capacity is low, as well as the current transmission mode. Once you have set a frequency on the receiver, an infrared transmission link will feed the related data to the assigned transmitter within seconds, making the setting up of large multichannel systems child's play. The PT 450 uses a rugged case, and the mini XLR input allows you to connect a wide selection of microphones and instruments. A special jack lets you connect an optional external mute switch enabling the user to mute the audio signal even if the transmitter is hidden in the clothes. SR 450 receiver The SR 450 diversity receiver is a cost-efficient, high-performance multichannel system. Up to 12 channels can be used simultaneously within the same subband and even large systems will work smoothly in environments hostile to RF transmission. Being compatible with professional WMS 4000 antenna splitters, power supplies, and high quality antennas, the WMS 450 enables you to set up highly complex wireless systems. In Auto Setup mode, the receiver will scan the available bands, find an interference-free channel, and transmit the related frequency data to the assigned transmitter via infrared. This technique significantly reduces the time it takes to set up a multi-channel system. A Rehearsal function identifying dead spots, a programmable display clearly indicating all important system parameters, two color display backlighting warning the user of critical conditions from a distance, and a transmitter battery status display on the receiver enhance reliability and add to ease of use.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Worth Every Penny

As reviewed by Patric Keenan on 9/15/2010

It's perfect. I first tried it out with my bass and it sounded immaculate. Since it sounded so incredible for bass, I assumed that this kind of clarity would make a guitar signal too gainy but when I tested out this theory, it blew me away. It sounded just like I was using a high performance cable. Sure, it's pretty pricy, but as long as you take good care of it, it's the last wireless system you'll ever need to buy. Kudos to AKG for making such an incredible product.

  • Lackluster tone reproduction

As reviewed by Austin Guitarist on 2/18/2010

The wireless unit either damped the sustain or bled out all the warmth in my tone (I use a Mesa Triple Recto). The tranmitter gain was a constant compromise between feeding the signal and introducing that fuzzy distortion that I loath. The rack mount kit did not even include the coax cable and mouting screws one would need to bring the antennas to the front. I did like the very lightweight transmitter, the AA battery useage, and the frequency flexibility in setting up the channels, but still cumbersome to set up relative to other units I've tried. Overall I was disappointed with the sound.

  • ehh..

As reviewed by Anthony on 1/5/2010

This system has a lot of positive points 1. Runs off 1 double A battery 2. Rackmountable 3. the pack is very small 4. affordable. I do feel that the system sucked a lot of the gain out of my tone. Most the high and low frequencies. I can notice a very big difference between plugging direct and using the wireless. I think i may be returning this unit. Guitar Center noticed the poblem and is working with me on this... Other than that issue it is a great system
