Great unit, if you're a statue...

This is a great affordable wireless system, but with some very severe limitations. First, sound-wise, the WMS40 doesn't color your sound too bad, but there is a noticeable drop in overall volume when using it. For decent rigs, this shouldn't be a big deal. For what you get in convenience of use, I must say that if you move around live on stage, do NOT get this system. Get a beltpack style wireless. I am a player who moves around tons on stage and I broke the very fragile bug twice in 2 months. Both times the bumps we small. This thing cannot take a bump at all!! You've been warned!

Not for everyone but good

I purchased the AKG WMS 40 Pro/ Guitarbug because wires get in my way when I am trying to practice or do a show. I found that this product is good if I just want to practice at home or somewhere where I am not going o be moving around but for a show it is not my favorite. The sound when I am moving around is not good at all but if I am close by it is good. I would only recommend it if you are just looking to get rid of some wires but not for shows

Wireless for people who don't like wireless

I have NEVER like using a wireless for guitar! Ya' know for the obvious reason: loss of tone. But AKG has expanded the frequency range on this new WMS 40 PRO series and it sounds AWESOME! Not only that but I have used it in a bunch of different situations and have had NO dropout.

Rockin in mid~air!

Ive owned my bug for almost 2 years now! The SAME one and i wouldnt play a show without it! The ONLY problem ive ever had was the occasional battery change out during a show . And even then ,it can be done on one of the breaks! The battery doesnt just go dead! Ive since put a new battery in it every 4 shows ,needed or not! A must for players that wanna make the peopel feel like they are part of the show instead of payin a huge cover then watchin bands like they are untouchable snobs~ Get one, you'll thank me for it!
