Dynamic cardioid designed for performance!

The AKG D 9000 is a dynamic microphone designed for instrumental or vocal performance. The wide frequency response is slightly boosted in the mid- and high-frequency ranges for a crisp instrumental sound and better vocal intelligibility.

The D 9000 mic's outstanding performance is obtained by means of AKG Varimotion diaphragm technology and a frequency-independent cardioid pickup pattern that provides very effective feedback suppression. Doubleflex shockmounted transducer system reduces handling noise. AKG includes a mic clip with the D 9000 microphone.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

not bad

I just got mines today and compared them side by side with my AKG D850, a similar mic which i think is discontinued. Compared to the D850, these mikes sound cheaper. I felt kinda wierd getting worse quality mics than i already had, but the price is nice, and because of that these mics are a good value. They both work and the sound is similar to my better mic, but these mics make the audio sound like its in a small room that reverbs and echoes, i noticed the D850 didn't do that and gave a very clean sound - these don't reproduce some sounds as accuratly. I wouldn't want to use these mics for recording (but for now i must). Overall, these are good mics, and decent even for recording, but I'm not exactly satisfied with the audio quality, mainly because i already had a better sounding mic which cost a little less for itself alone. With begginers, i think this is a perfect deal if you're just starting out. The quality is good don't get me wrong. I'm satisfied but will soon be looking for better sounding mics. Get these if it's what you can afford, but there are better sounding mics that cost just a little more.

Great pick up.

This AKG D 9000 mic does a great job in picking up sound. It sounded great even on my guitar. Built quality is superb. Only drawback is the absence of the power switch.

GREAT BUY!

Two for one? You don't see many of these deals around. This mic, along with others, are used at my friend's concerts. They play at local shows, but it still sounds great! I don't know if it's just me, but I think it even picks up some of the guitar's sound from the amps so it makes it sound louder as a whole, adding on to the amps. The only bad thing is the missing feature of a power switch, but don't let that be a drawback, the quality makes up for it!

Great deal for a great quality

These mics are amazingly cheap for the quality that you get! I have been using an EV 267a for the past 6 or 7 years until now. I found this deal and decided to try them out. To my surprise, they have a better quality than my Bassist's mic. When I first used this mic my bassist and rythmn guitarist liked it so much that they bought their own. I now own 4 AKG D9000s and I'm buying another set. With a 10 person group that everyone sings in, this is the best deal for everyoe to have their own personal mic! I am slowly building my quantity up to 10. If this mic wasn't of great quality, would someone be so stupid as to buy 10? I don't think so!!!! Thank you Guitar Center, and AKG, for creating a quality mic at an amazing price!

Great two for one value

The value is a great selling point, unfornuately the microphones did not perform. They would cut out and require tapping on them like therewas lose wiring. This happened with both mircophones. The value two for one was a great offer, until I used them.
