The AKG C 3000 B Condenser Microphone has a gold-coated capsule combining the best of large diaphragm and micro transducer technologies for performance quality worthy of the most demanding studio applications. And yet it's rugged enough to take touring. 20Hz-20kHz frequency range, -10dB switchable pre-attenuation, 6dB low-frequency cut, and integrated windscreen. AKG includes a shockmount and hard case with the C 3000 B microphone. Requires phantom power.

Best Investment Ever

Over the years, I have bought and experimented with recording mics. of many makes. After reading quite a few reviews I purchased an AKG C 3000 B Condenser mic.fairly recently. This is an awesome recording mic. which has the capability to produce fabulous vocals.Even the most basic home recordings sound so professional. The best by far available in the market.

AKG C 3000 B

A great mic at an even better price. I had been looking at a few before this but the AKG was by far the best of the group. I'm a huge Audix fan for my dynamics and have tried out Sure and R0des, but in terms of value the 3000 was an easy choice. This thing handles anything I throw at it. I run this through a Studio Projects tube pre and a BBE MaxCom and the nuances this thing captures is amazing. For vocals this is the only mic I will use. With this straight in through a mixer with mic pre's you get no coloration at all. Sweet midrange response on acoustic instruments. The handling limit on this thing is so high I've even used it it to mic guitar/bass cabs. For the price this is the best mic you can buy. I've had this thing get knocked over onto tile flooring and it works (and looks) like the day I brought it home. Get it.

Great sound for the price!!!

I purchased this mic based on various recommendations from experienced producers in the studio scene. I've been using this for about 2 weeks tracking vocals, and it's definitely an incredible mic. Nice warm sound, and crystal clear. Price is good, so you can't go wrong with this mic if you don't have a big budget.
