The DrumIt Five is built around a high-strength, low-weight pad/cymbal and stand system. Add to this an extremely powerful drum unit with 4GB on-board Flash memory, and you have the foundation for a truly groundbreaking, new sensation in electronic drums.
The DrumIt Five trigger system offers low-latency triggering and great dynamic range, while the sounds are delivered at 44,100Hz by 24-bit digital-to-analog converters. Cast in aluminum and ranging from 8"-14", the quiet rubber heads were designed to mimic the rebound feel of a real kit. The acoustic sound level from these heads is minimal. The revolutionary Floating Rim features an independent rim trigger as well as a main head sensor. Both triggers in the pad are connected to one input on the unit via a stereo trigger cable.
Featuring the same silent rubber surface of the cymbals, the DrumIt hi-hat works the same as a conventional acoustic hi-hat, i.e. a movable playing surface. Built-in sensors enable the hi-hat to reproduce the broad sound palette inherent to a hi-hat. Likewise, the multi-zone, chokeable and silicon rubber cymbals are also free to swing when struck. They also include all natural zones of a normal acoustic cymbal, cup, bow and edge.
Offering multiple connectivity options, sounds and kits can be easily downloaded to the DrumIt Five module via a USB connection and internal Flash memory. Use the editor to download complete kits or just drag-and-drop from the computer's file manager. By way of the DrumIt Five editor (PC / Mac), you can make your own multi-sampled sounds from wav, aiff or rex files. Additionally, select sounds from the DrumIt sound library, made by top artists, recorded in multi-channel multi-layer format in professional studios, carefully edited to offer unsurpassed sound quality.

Comments about 2Box DrumIt Five Series Electronic Drum Kit:
I have owned Yamaha and Roland electronic drumkits. They were both good kits, but this 2Box kit is by far the best electronic kit I have ever owned. The feel of this kit is the closest to an acoustic feel you can get. The sound is just remarkable. Cymbals feel just like real cymbals and have that incredible sensitivity as well as the drums are sensitive as well. I was a little hesitant when they changed their drumheads from mesh to rubberon the new version of this kit, but the rubber drumheads are very good and great response. I dare to say I may like these a little more than the mesh heads I had on my Roland even though these are rubber. The sounds are incredible and the only thing I would maybe change a bit is on the sound module having a little easier of an interface, but that is minor in comparison to everything else on this kit. I also love the fact that the bass drum is connected to the drum rack providing stability which has always been a pet peeve on previously owned electronic kits. I saw this a few years ago at a drum show, but there were no distributors in US. This year TAMA became the distributor and Guitar Center started carrying it and I purchased right away. So glad I did. Also Guitar Center provided real good support when I had to return and exchange something on the kit. They took care of it immediately and sent me out replacement. I would dare to say this electronic kit is by far the best on market and may even be better than the Roland top of the line kit priced in the $7000.00 range. This is not only comparable, but less expensive. This is developed by the people who were behind the D Drum electronic kits in years past. Developed in Sweden -these are beyond awesome. It also has a usb interface and you can load down additional sounds from the 2Box website. I have not worked with that so much because the out of the box sounds are so good. One note on the bass drum when first setting up the kit., You need when connecting that with screws to the rack to tap the holes first with a tap as they need to be cleaned out for the screws to go in properly. Sometime these kits when put together in China, they may paint over the holes, when they should cover the holes first before spray painting. That makes the screws too tight to screw in because paint is in the area where you screw it in. If you just tap it first with a tap, then that takes care of it. The hi-hat module is perfect and goes with any stand, I decided to put it with a two leg stand to avoid too much in the way of stands especially since I use a double pedal on the kit. I also changed by drum beaters on by double pedal to beaters called The bullet. Love these bass drum beaters and they work beautiful on this electronic kit. Best bass drum beater on the market in my opinion. If you are considering an electronic drumkit, you would not be disappointed with 2Box. I love mine and Guitar Center has been most helpful with this. I am really glad I made the leap and purchased it. Could not be happier.!!! I have previously owned Yamaha, Roland and even years back the original Tama Techstar electronic drums(not a name you here much anymore), but nothing compares to my 2BOX!!!!!
